Kyle Walker

I would play trippier till the end of the season

1. Will see how good he really is over more than one game
2. Give Walker time away to clear his head

If he has had a falling out, Walker can't complain about the above.

Also that bit with Wanyama and him yelling at each other after the ref blew for a non-existent foul - it might just be heightened awareness of Walker due to his situation, but I felt like that was out of character for Wanyama in particular.

There is zero evidence to suggest there was a "falling out". As Ade, Bentaleb and Townsend can attest if Poch falls out with you there is no way he will continue to play with you.

It is more probable that one of the following happened:

1 Walker got his head turned by Emirates Marketing Project and the thought of doubling his salary (aided by whispering of his agent in his ear)
2 He got annoyed because he has missed key matches such as CL matches earlier in the season as well as more recently Chelsea / Arsenal matches and he regards himself the best right back at the club or
3 A combination of 1 and 2

Completely. This is why its not nailed on that Walker isn't leaving as yet, though if I had to put money on it I'd bet he would go. SAF had similar situations at ManUre - big name being rumoured to be leaving and seemed nailed on that they would go, only for things to be recovered. Poch has similar man management stills so the situation is save-able

As it has always been, the only way a player will leave is if the manager agrees it is better for the club.
 
It's bad timing considering how well the team is doing, but if Walker really wants to go and double his money at City and work with Guardiola then let him go. He has been at Spurs for nearly 8 years, been a regular for 5 or 6 years. In modern day football that is quite a commitment. I'm sure we will cope without him. We've lost many good players over the years and the club has gone from strength to strength.

AT THE END OF THE SEASON

He is fine but towards the end of this season and last he has struggled. Two years in a row. My theory is we need to rotate more in the season so players arrive fresher.
 
If he goes, he goes with us having plenty of £££ in the bank

Poch will move on and he will too

It's actually quite rare for a player to leave us for better things in premier league terms. We had some go to united when they were top dogs and of course clamball

But then you had people like Carr move on to a bigger side

I rate Walker as the best right back in the country and really up there with the best in the world but I also rate Poch that highly and he has more rah earned our trust

I agree with the last part but not the first at all! Commitment? He hasn't been turning up week in week out for the minimum wage? And he's never been playing at a level which is higher than the team as a whole! That really is the test of commitment - if a player stays at a club which he is clearly better than, then that's commitment. The ultimate example of this is Matt Le Tissier - he was way better than Southampton but stayed there consistently (I'd argue though that nowadays he might not do). I don't think you can praise Walker for commitment just because he's been at the club for 8 years - in that time, his performances have rarely been consistently better than the teams as a whole. That's not to say that we shouldn't sell him, but obviously needs to be for a price which can enable the team to improve ie sell him for £50m and use £25m for a replacement and £25m for another decent CB

Well that is the point that they all need to learn they have to rotate to stay at the high level we require. The full backs especially have a high work load placed on them. I have said a few times over the last two years that my one complaint against Poch is he does not rotate enough, the fact that his teams often fall away at the end of the season reinforced my opinion.

I used to blame Redknapp for not rotating enough, so I think I have to be self aware enough to realise that it might just be my hobby horse.
