The race for 86 points

Nope; not always. Certainly i doubt Pulis will do so at home. He hates Wenger i think.

I believe Pulis has only lost at home once in the Premier League...am hoping he has almost been letting his trogs have two weeks off so they are as sharp as possible when it comes to set-pieces against Arsenal on Saturday lunchtime....oh well any straw will do...

If Arsenal win vs Brom, it wouldn't surprise me if the board push through an announcement of Wenger's new contract during the international break...so perhaps that's win:win actually lol..

West Brom fans are pretty tinkled off with how they performed against Everton. They seem to think that Pulis has basically gone into holiday mode, along with his players, because he secured safety and that's all his aim was, is and will be.

If that's true, then I don't hold high hopes for them performing against Arsenal in any significant way. And I hate West Brom for how they roll over against that lot on a regular basis anyway.

And that was when we were still struggling to find our best form as a team, whereas right now we are mostly playing opponents right off the park.

Also worth noting that both Dele's and Son's minutes-per-goal are currently right up there with the PL's top strikers despite neither being out-and-out No.9s themselves.

Of course Kane's going to be a big miss but still plenty of reasons to be positive.

How will it affect the top four when Leicester goes on and wins the CL?

Was just thinking about that and Leicester having parallels with Chelski an Di Matteo in 2012.
Only a problem for 4th place if Leicester win PL and Manure finish outside the top 4 and win EL...In that scenario 4th place would go into EL as a country can only have up to 5 Teams in CL

As @Jordinho pointed out in the CL thread - they'll both win their competitions, we'll get pipped to 3rd by Arsenal on the last day and then we'll get sent into the Europa League again despite finishing in 4th. A year after our renewed injustice, UEFA will change the rules so that one country can indeed have 6 teams in the CL - and we then become (again) the only club to be f*cked over by the previous rules before the new ones come into play.

Marvellous.

Stop it!

£1 returns £74.75 on both United and Leicester winning their respective competitions.

Once again I will be the board hero by betting £5 on it coming in as the universe doesn't like me having any amount of money.

Oh fudge. The only thing this bet would guarantee is that City would win instead of Leicester. Will need to do two bets :(

Oh so we're going to finish below Everton now??
Harry, please PLEASE come back soon!!

That's Arsenal stuffed then.... Simon H will be devastated!

Massive bonus to start the weekend.

With Kane out for a few league matches, I think the slim chance of catching Chelsea has probably gone. So with City playing Liverpool (meaning at least one will drop points), I think if I had to choose one team to lose this weekend, it would have been Arsenal.
United could well have too much on to finish in the Top 4 with fixtures piling up, and possibly Mourinho may go 'all out' for the Europa.

For me that mans, finish above Arsenal, and we finish in the Top 4. Not sure now whether the defeat today takes a little pressure off tomorrow's match or puts more on it knowing we could go 9pts clear, or at worst 6pts clear with 10 games left

Take it one game at a time because everything could change in 2 or 3 games...but it would be jolly handy if a wheel fell off Man United and we kept the distance between us...

Easy to watch Arsenal today and begin to think their players have decided CL qualification will be too much work and have chosen to emulate Chelsea and Liverpool by playing to drop straight down below the EL placings.

Lighter workload next season. More time for personal grooming, shish testing and frolicsome selfies.
