The Guardian tend to be a little less speculative than most but if a deal has been done, you would expect it to be made official in the next couple of days.

Well from what i heard is that Crystal Palace wanted Allen but QPR would not sell him to them ( boardroom dislike). Arse wanted Sansom and Palace did a deal behind door that if the Arse got Allen then they would do a swap with Sansom.

Allen never played for the Arse ( apart from pre-season games), i heard that from what i considered a good source.

True. I'm pretty positive it'll go through now. It's just a bit funny that it's supposedly been a done deal at least 5 times this summer.
 
Really difficult to work out what is going on.
We clearly are after a wide player or two. Nkoudou looks good, but why then the links with Yarmolenko and Munir, who can play wide?

Poch has clearly decided to get rid of Chadli, Njie, hence the Townsend tactics of non-selection, but why then not get the deals done, instead of waiting to save a penny or two, especially since the market is inflating rapidly?

Poor economic thinking or some cunning plan?
