Victimpool FC - Klopp leaving, grown men crying

Raheem Shaquille Sterling :ross:

Was hoping that was a joke of some sort. Turns out it isn't - that's his real name. Christ, those boys are something else.

Tis bad enough when fans refer to players by their first names only. This is a whole other level of cop-the-f**k-onnery.

A little late this season, but it's coming.

The last couple of seasons almost made me forget how badly biased the media is towards Pool.

The minute they are anywhere close to the top 6, somehow they are title contenders .. ****ing joke

That actually looks like a pretty fair reflection of our season to date...

You need to read RAWK.

While that cycle might apply to a lot of clubs, it's amazing how for a club that hasn't won the league in the PL era, they believe every year that they will win it. It's the stupidity of their delusion that makes it funny.

Didn't catch the Chelsea v Liverpool game yesterday cos I was at the Lane. Mate of mine who support Chelski said it was an entertaining but tight game that Chelsea edged but that Liverpool should have had two pens and Eto'o a red?

Anyway I'm still expecting these to finish top four this season. Most teams lose at the two richest clubs in the league, but generally teams lose those games by more than one goal (especially at the Etihad). They gave them both a game despite their wafer thin squad affected by injuries. We beat an injury and suspension ravaged Stoke and all of a sudden we're nailed on for top four? Nonsense boys. Liverpool have the advantage of playing most their rivals at home from hereonin, Man Utd are regaining their flat-track-bullyness and Everton won't go away if Lukaku and Barkley stay fit.

I still make us the 7th best team in the league right now. If Tim manages to get us 4th spot then I'll happily admit that I'm a ****ing idiot ha ha!

I don't think anyone is saying we will get 4th, especially now with TS in charge, we will stumble in a few places.

For me, top two = City/Cheat$ki, unfortunately the Scum have probably done enough to get 3rd, 4th goes to one of Pool/Manure/Everton/Us, largely dependent on who buys in January. It should go to Manure but I really don't believe in Moyes.

Thing about Pool is they have had their best half to a season in a long time, with Suarez scoring 19 goals, very very unlikely they will match that in second half. Similarly, very unlikely Manure and us will be as bad as we were in first half, and Pool only have a 2 point lead.

All to play for, but the betting money would be on City, Cheat$ki, Scum, United for top 4, in that order, with Pool/Spurs/Everton fighting for 4th-7th.

Arsenal, Everton and Liverpool have all arguably been performing at peak so far, can they really maintain that for a whole sesason?

Good question...dont know the answer....depends what they do transfer wise....

I just hope we turn it on a bit more and finish strongly........would make a pleasant change.

You mean like we did last season? 18 points from our last 8 games and only two losses in the second half of the season.

er yes just like that....perhaps minus a defeat at home to Fulham...sorry when you put it like that.....just always seems that we falter at the final few hurdles.

The other way of looking at that is they've had seriously easy homes games so far for the most of the season, which has allowed them to put together a run which generates the hype and hysteria we have seen. From now on they will probably draw and lose a few of these home games against the title challengers, while away from home a lot of the clubs that rolled over at Anfield will be getting their act together to ensure they stay in this league. Liverpool won't drop like a stone but I think they will have it tough this second half this season and will do well to maintain what they have achieved.

I have a feeling Moyes will get United 4th, which is frustrating because I really don't think their squad is stronger than ours but they will scrape through IMO. I can see us claiming 5th though.

**** have been peaking for about a year already, if they keep it up, I'm sorry to say anything they achieve will be well deserved.

As for us, the encouraging thing is we've lost our best player, have seven new ones still adapting, have played far below what we should expect from our squad for a majority of our games, have struggled with our fair share of injuries, and have sacked our manager - yet we're still in contention for top four, almost gaining two points per game.

Fair points mate, but personally I'd want my team's bigger games to be at home at the business end of the season. Think back to when we broke in to the top four at the expense of Liverpool in 2009/2010, we had Arsenal and Chelsea at home in the space of a few days, bagged two wins and it gave us the momentum we needed to go on and finish 4th.

At the end of the day they are better than most of their opponents away from home so as long as they turn up will win the majority of them. Think they will get around 40 points in the second half of the season after a glimpse at their fixtures.

Emirates Marketing Project on the other hand have to go to Arsenal, Everton, Liverpool, Man Utd, Saudi Sportswashing Machine and ourselves before season's end. Considering their away record, I doubt they are overly excited for that!

Liverpool have announced a multi-million pound global partnership with the American company Dunkin' Donuts. The managing director, Ian Ayre, said the deal will help the club to compete financially with their major rivals.

"In order to support Brendan we have to provide the resources to allow that," said Ayre. "That is only allowable operating within your own means – they are the rules we have all signed up to – and this is absolutely vital in us being able to compete.

"We should be pleased and fans should take comfort from the fact commercially this club is right at the top of teams in that regard. In the modern game we talk about financial fair play and the ability to operate in transfer markets, and a big part of doing what we want to achieve here is generating revenue which supports what we do on the pitch.

"Fans are interested in seeing the team win matches and the way we do that is by putting the best team out there every week. There are a finite number of partners we can have on a global basis and it is vital as a football club, like our competitors, we compete in that.

"I don't think we're trying to catch up with anyone. Off the pitch I think we bat right at the top of the league in terms of our commercial activity and our performances in that regard. Our ambition is to be the best we can be for our fans, not compete with anyone else."

Headline should have been.

Liverpool: a bunch of donuts.
