Apparently a group of men claiming to be United representatives spent an hour at the La Liga offices in Madrid today, but it turns out they had nothing to do with the club and were presumably just attempting to get a cut of the deal in an elaborate fraud.

"Must be stressed these are just rumours but the Spanish media have published pictures of men in black suits - supposedly the United "representatives" - coming out of the league offices carrying briefcases.

"All very strange and no doubt the truth will come out in the next few days."

I think it's a bit like those who win the lottery and still go on working as a shelf stacker in Asda. It takes a while to get used to it.

But I actually had to stop and count all our new players and I'm still not sure I'm right with 7!!! :ross:

Ozil. Really good player, super player. But i still dont believe its what le scum needed. They needed a Defensive midfielder, a Centre half and a better Keeper. But they sign another attacking player.

and the irony is that they only got him because we sold Bale. Thats just the football gods ****ing on us.

thats pretty tasy. But behing them they Flamini, an average Ramsey and Wheelchair who cannot stay fit.
 
I think Ozil is going to be an amazing signing for arsenal, but is he what they needed? Thought they had enough attackers, but really needed some defensive fibers in midfield.
 
So we got Lamela and Paulinho for about the same price as Ozil.

In terms of strengthening through the window, if our two signings above = their one signing, it means our other 5 signings (at least two of whom are first teamers) are our net edge over them after the window.
 
I think Özil was done earlier this evening; Аrѕe just delayed the announcement because he's the only one they've got coming in.
 
sell our best player paving the way for Arsenal to sign an even better one at half the price - knew this window was too good to be true :lol:
