As much as I think Defoe is better than Adebayor neither should have been our number 1 striker this season
 
Could have been quite simple.

We beat Wigan

Utd beat Arsenal

We draw with Chelsea then plain sailing. . .

But not with Spurs.
 
You have to say it will be well deserved if Wigan win. Played much better. Had actual determination.

Once they figured out they could park the bus on us at 2-1, this game was effectively over.
 
We are possibly the most frustratingly stupid team to chase top four status in the league's history. We're on the verge of throwing away every little scrap of motivation we gained against City by losing to bloody Wigan AGAIN. What, once wasn't enough to teach our players about the importance of concentrating against this team?

fudge up once against Wigan, fair enough, it's a learning opportunity.

fudge up twice, it is perhaps the first time I've had reason to be bitterly disappointed in everyone, AVB included.

Although anyone not wearing Spurs tinted specks never really expected us to beat Saints, Stoke and Sunderland anyway. I'm really not sure we're any better than southampton with the form we're in. Stoke away??? What are we like at defending set pieces again?
 
When these fudging delusional players come out with mid week pie in the sky brick about fighting all the way for champions league football, does anyone actually show them the next fudging football game and ask them to explain wtf that was ?
 
an actually embarrassing performance. terrible. the worst in a long time. scrap it and move on. no use getting too angry about it. unless you want to vent at kyle walker. :lol:
 
Buying some rest time - they are shagged.

We forgot to play our game second half. Just panicked after their goal.
 
Why hasn't our masterful boss changed things to make us look potent? Surely they have monstered us all half and we need to do something different?
 
What a game for us to play this brick. Vertonghen, Dawson, Parker, Holtby, flimflam sideways passing. Incredible. Check Dawson up top do something!!!!

No point getting too excited about the Chelsea game yet, or any game for that matter.

You'd have to be quite a positive person to think we'Re getting top four from here. I wouldn't even call pessimism, just realistic to be fair.
