***OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Liverpool***

There was positives today. Our wide forwards (Kudus and Savio) are somewhat threatening, but until we get a proper goalgetter, we're bang in trouble, because none of the players we have, have any sort of appetite for goals!

We simply don't have any player that is really hungry for goals, and just want to bang them in no matter what.

We desperately need to aquire that kind of striker in January. The 1st of January!

For me one of the reasons we are not scoring is our lack of aggression and urgency. Too many touches moving the ball side to side. Not enough ball progression or pressing high up the pitch. Take Gallagher tonight, his greatest attribute is his energy and pressing. But there was none of that tonight. When he plays like that he doesn't offer enough. Fortunately he did score but other than that didn't affect the game enough. Mateus Fernandes is a really clever passer. Why didn't he start? RDZ 's team selections and the lack of energy is definitely contributing to our lack of goals.
The lack of aggression is evident in aerial duels; our players make a show of challenging for aerial balls but fail to win a single one—this is particularly glaring in midfield.

We are in England, and here you have to know how to engage physically when contesting aerial balls.

Just got home and not watched anything back yet. Thought we played well in spells, lack of a goal threat is still an issue but thought we could have scored a few tonight - Bergvall in the first half and looked like a good save late in the 2nd.

It’s slowly coming together. I can see the plan. I want to see Solanke with Marmoush behind him tried out and Fernandes starting deeper like when he came on. He controlled the game as soon as he was on the pitch

I have to take the positives from that game.
We played pretty well, sometimes actually good, in periods of that game.
The chances we created were quality chances and I'd rather create three or four quality chances than five or six half chances.
It was more minutes in the legs and more time together on the pitch for allowing connections to be made.
When maddison, fernadez and robertson came on we looked better.
Tosin looks very capable with a good bit of fight in him.
Despite playing a backline that have never played together and had no proper RB they needed three worldies to beat us.
We can take a lot from that game.
Not impressed with Senesi, I liked what I saw of Tosin. Until we have better, Gallagher should start at 10, not sure why we took him off. It might not be pretty, but that was better than anyone else so far this season. Bergval was very good. Gray was decent. Can only assume Tel being left on the pitch was an attempt to build his confidence. Robertson has a desire to get the ball forward and ultimately in the net, and hopefully that runs off. Udogie, Bentancur and Fernandes are good enough. Maddison and Kudus do a great impression of a Premier League footballer. I'll hold back on Savio and Marmoush.

You play Fernandes now with bentaxur
And play 3 behind Solanke of Savio, Marmoush and kudus
See how that works
That’s has some guile and some presence
He won’t try that as I think tonali is gonna be ok for a league game and we will be back to 4-3-3

Marmoush looks seriously lightweight and lacking in fight for me. Early days, but I’m not impressed so far.

Solanke and Marmoush are capable of at least matching the scoring rates that Ferguson got for him at Brighton. Kudus, Savio and a fit Maddison or Deki would also get their fair share while Tonali and Bentancur could chip in too.

We have no obvious goalscorer in the Kane or Som mould - that I’ll accept. But there is no way the players we have are incapable of chipping in with the numbers that De Zerbi’s Brighton scored.

Kudus was on track to score 10 goals in the dog brick Frank team. Once he is fit he can contribute that.
