James Maddison

I used to work with a Leicester ST holder, he said pretty much what you said
They called him Mr 33%
Every season he was 33% amazing, 33% brick and 33% injured
yep the writing was on the wall with this one
even when he was not injured, he would disappear in the big games

its the levy annual relegation team purchase - small team transfer mentality and hopefully its over now with new management

On his day he is as good as Modric. But so inconsistent.
On his minute you mean. Maddison will have that moment in a game where he spins inbetween two players and releases a killer pass, or runs past 2 and dinks it over the keeper. But the difference is that is often your lot for the match whereas Modric effortlessly dictated like that for 90 minutes on a consistent basis.

As we so often do at this club we paid a wedge for Maddison off his one consistent season (30 goal involvements the season before), as we did for Bissouma after his one purple season for Brighton, as we did for Richarlison after his one consistent season for Everton as we did for Solanke after his one season where he got near 20 goals. We always take the punts at this club, never the sure things. And the gambler's luck always runs out in the end.

23 goal involvements last season from 2718 minutes (around 30 full matches) in a poor team. If only we had someone like that now.
