ENIC

We have been incompetent when it comes to our transfer policy.
Honestly, I wont be surprised if in the next 5yrs a documentary comes out on Spurs with some underhand goings on. Yes I am going down this rabbit hole, as honestly some of the decision making has been sensational. Most of the managers have always had to deal with people they never wanted. (I know our managers dont stay long enough) Extending Werner, buying Tel. Overpaying for Solanke, Rich.
Spending on Gray and Berg (who are fine but we are making them our anchors, who let's be serious, we need grown ups right now) Which manager wanted Dragu? Koti, has he kicked a ball?
Our medical department needs improving.

I mean there is such a long list wrong with this club. That until we change how we operate......this merry go round will continue. We need to do better. We need harmony and plan and stick to it.

End of Jan we shall see if anything has changed

Come on mate ..

- Overpaying for Richi & Solanke? in a market where United paid £64M + add ons (more than we paid for either) for 19 year old Hojlund with 9 Italian League goals to his name, Arsenal paid £64M for Havertz after Chelsea had paid similar and he had failed. £60 odd million for a PL striker isn't some shady overpaying.
- Werner was a loan in a team that was racking up record levels of injuries
- Kota is a £5M punt
- Buys like Gray, Bergvall, Udogie, Xavi, Vuskovich are fine, funny how fans ask where is the next Modric, Bale, Carrick, Berbatov, it's the same strategy
- Medical department needs improving? didn't notice VDV and Romero have been fitter than they have been in a couple of years, Richi is on his best run of fitness since ever? the injuries we have are left overs from last season

Do I have concerns re the direction of the club now? yes, mostly because I think it's naive to believe owners who didn't give a fudge about us for 25 years, and didn't want to spend their own money for that period where actually being held back by Levy and now they really want to change? (have a bridge to sell you if you buy that), I also think Spurs fans are going to learn what "not a football man" really means.

The biggest question of this ownership is can/will they correct, after Ramos came Harry, after AVB came Poch, after Nuno came Conte. Mistakes can be corrected if someone is brave enough, if we drift and let a poor team/manger not get addressed, then we risk things.

And look how clean Chelsea and Emirates Marketing Project are. Look what West Ham did back in the day.
I justthink it's not too far fetched that some dodge dealings may have gone on......

There are a lot of clubs after all

So the wage "cap" lifted according to Gold
We're massively under our traditional wage cap anyway (isnt it set at 45% of turnover?).

All our big earners (Kane, Son, Lloris) left over the past 3 years. We've also shrunk and made our squad much younger. Probably only Romero is on anywhere close to £200k now

So where is the ENIC out crowd? remarkably silent it seems, was it all just a Levy thing?

Can you imagine if Levy was still here? 12th at mid point in season (after 17th last), Frank being outperformed by his old club in table, we are now selling players on first day of window with no incomings in sight (where's all the money hording accusations), Paratici potentially bailing, likely out of all domestic cups in next week ...

I've asked you a question in another thread that sort of relates to this...but i'll specifically ask in response to the above: what is your point here? Or, like some others, are you ENIC out as well?

ENIC owns the club, we have very little influence on making them sell, not an effort I'm interested in.

Just lets call it curious that the energy directed against our owners, really seems to have only been directed at the Chairman, not the people who were really making the funding available then and now.

We will revisit this at the end of the window.

Suffice to say, i think it seems you seem to be forgetting a lot of the time (not all) there was as much "ENIC out" sentiment as "Levy Out" sentiment.
Levy was the figurehead of ENIC after all.

If after this window not much seems to have changed, in terms of how THFC operate in the transfer market, then you can guess what sentiment will raise its head over the coming months...

Seeing as Levy had 25 years, I think we might need to give the new decision makers more than just a few months…. They haven’t even appointed a single manager or DoF yet!
