I think this breaks down a load of myths I read on here about him, unless we are to believe he is a great liar for camera. He clearly wants more than one way to play but you need the players to do so.

It's just the time thing for me. Afford him a good chunk of time before saying anything or thinking you can spot conclusions.

Here is one example to consider.....we probably have 5 or 6 players he's barely seen kicking a ball for us or him yet.

He doesn't believe we currently have those players hence the reason for how he seems us up. I see ambition in his words and his overall approach. I see it the players we signed and have tried to sign since he joined.

He will play play attacking progressive football albeit with a defensive solidity if he has the players. I see that in his words, I believe him. If we get those players then we can talk about the style more imo.

Good point about getting stick from oppo fans, and also booed by your own. A player is going to think fudge I'm on my own here, with no one supporting me. Spurs fans have lost touch with what supporting a team actually means.
Since Poch, we keep going from one extreme to another, pragmatic or all out attack.

That's not the Spurs I chose. For me, we were the football playing team, the purists. I expect our managers to live the ethos Audere Est Facere. Not give up the ball as a strategy.

Tbf since Poch we've generally gone defensive/pragmatic with only one exception to that
