Politics, politics, politics (so long and thanks for all the fish)

There should be an alternative to education also. Some children will never be good at academia but can go on to doing great things with their skill set. My friend was dyslexic growing up and got teased wrotten, with his confidence shot he left school got working at his uncles car garage and now has a thriving business of his own.

Education should be a term which includes the trades. IMO we need a system where dyslexia is recognised as having zero impact on intelligence or the ability to absorb and manifest information. I totally agree, BTW, that not being oriented towards academia should never preclude someone from having a great career/life; in that regard we need to embrace and spotlight the importance of trades (indeed, society crumbles without them). I hope, too, those who do not engage in academia can at least receive a proficient level of world knowledge and global awareness to make informed decisions beyond what some X head is screaming...

Im dyslexic, yet have a 1st & a PhD from one of the best universities in the world, and have published books. There's other techniques you can learn to read and write well if your brain doesnt do it the standard way. Computers also cover most of the issues and have done for a long time. Education being mass produced at too big a scale is really the only barrier for young dyslexics

No, I'm advocating for a Palestine that is kept secure and safe by Israel/the US who would hold a veto to ensure that nobody is stupid enough to vote in someone like Hamas again.

So not an independent Palestinian state then?

Obviously Israel and the US can’t be an Independent guarantor of a Palestinian state. That’s a ridiculous stance.

And I say this as someone no absolutely believes in a two state solution with Israel living in peace and safety.

The US would absolutely guarantee the sovereignty of a Palestine state and a safer place for the people that currently live in Palestine. Hamas would not stand a chance and innocent people could get on with their lives.

It may not be ideal but the quicker Hamas is kicked out, the sooner there will be peace. Further to this Israel dare not invade.

Except he partially fücked the country with Brexit and seems to have completely managed to not get challenged on it.
Leaving aside the debate as to whether Brexit was good or bad:
- Did he call the referendum?
- Did he vote 17 million odd times to leave?
- Did he decide on our future relationship with the EU post-Brexit?

Farage hasn't f*cked or done anything. He hasn't been in power. Which is a big part of why he's proving difficult to counter:

"Don't vote for him, he doesn't have the answers. Stick with us for 5 more years of misery"

Then there are no other options.

Hamas can't run Gaza, that's obvious. Much of the world seems united in not wanting Israel to solve the Hamas problem.

So what's left? Any government running Gaza will need the military might to continue fighting Hamas, who obviously won't just slink off and forget about their desire to end the existence of Israel. It may not be tomorrow, but memories are short, and the possibility of Gazans voting in another Hamas in 10-20 years isn't zero. That can't be allowed to happen, so we're stuck with my solution.

I don't think "You can vote for anyone you want, as long as they're not murderous, raping kidnappers" is a particularly restrictive form of freedom. Maybe it tells us a lot about anyone who doesn't want that condition.

Blame Tony Blair and his ridiculous belief that if half of kids attend university, that will neither water down the value of a degree nor leave them completely unprepared for life in the real world.

A 2 year Fatah transitional government of a united West Bank and Gaza, with UN troops stationed along the 1967 borders and within the the two territories. Let Barghouti and Abbas head it up until elections in 2027.

Israel are no better than Hamas. Both murder civilians with impunity. How one is allowed to govern someone else's country (which is essentially the plan) and turn Gaza in to another west bank is nuts. The deal is totally nuts.

A lot needs dealing with at the Hague. Netanyahu and co will have to face the consequences of our generation's Srebrenica

World leaders think otherwise and the international community think otherwise.
