Daniel Levy - Former Chairman

Well that's a shame. I was critical of ENIC and obviously Levy is part of that but I always felt assured he held the clubs best interests at heart and in an ideal world he would have overseen things with a new owner.

Very grateful for all he has done, and with all the abuse he has received over time he can take a well earned rest (or perhaps he'd rather keep busy doing something else). All the best, sure it won't be the last we see of him.....
 
Grateful for what he’s done at the club raising the profile commercially and in other areas. I feel this is the right decision for all involved though. 25 years at the top of any organisation is a long time. The football decision making just hasn’t been good enough in the last 5 years in particular. All that said, I hope we welcome him back one day as a guest. I acknowledge he’s done many great things for the club despite my feelings about him.
 
Damn. I wonder if this was the plan all along or whether the dimwit army got to him with their death threats. fudging idiots. We could have been down in the leagues if it weren't for Levy. He's taken us right up there. The stadium. To think people questioned his loyalty. Maybe it's time for him to step back though. I sure as hell can't blame him after all the insane stick he has been getting. I bet the protest fudgers will gloat.
 
25 years is a long time. He delivered handsomely on two of his three promises, the training ground and new stadium, and partially on the team. We clearly established among the big six whereas through the 90s we were going nowhere.

I sometime think we were unlucky over the timing of the team's improvement under Poch and the new stadium. Poch was too good and the ambition rose too quickly. It might have been better if the team had peaked after the opening of the new stadium.

Anyway, many fans will be happy to see a Levy-less Tottenham. They say, be careful what you wish for.
 
Although probably having the thickest skin in football, he's probably conceded I can't win. He'd have been delighted to have won and delivered a trophy but even that didn't shift the needle for many.
So what's the point?

His work was largely done, and what a fantastic job he did. Much like he said he'll be appreciated when he's dead. Not an exaggeration to say he sets the club up for the next 60 years. Steered us thru a process that not many clubs dare to approach, let alone do. Chapeau

He can't do anything about the finances beyond what he has done/doing (ie needing more)...so a new face/owners/part owners are probably in the mix.
