Politics, politics, politics (so long and thanks for all the fish)

Ok I will explain for clarity

In my experience within life, friends, family and extended social circles, i can say to a man or woman, those that are outwardly hateful and nasty have come from tough or traumatic backgrounds that has an profound influence on the way they act.

So yeh, I stand by that statement based on my life experiences.
There aren't many that are outwardly hateful and nasty, though. Very very few people are like that.

The government should be educating people, they have accepted the false premise and responded to it. That was the mistake.

When they were asked what they were going to do about immigration, the only correct and moral answer, is to encourage it, and emigration, the movement and pollination of ideas is essential to the growth of the species.
You can't at the moment - the feeling towards politicians is so toxic it will just sound like a lecture from the liberal elite calling people stupid.
Remember Brexit?!

Labour needs some wins first, then they can do something like that.

They need some wins. They also need to stop taking the p*ss.

Imagine being told what to think by "I'm one of you, but your taxes pay for my 3 homes" Angela?

So do it smarter.

There aren't any wins to be had, we need to minimise the losses, and pandering to the stupid won't get us anywhere.

These people are stupid, we should be hammering the failures of Brexit down their throat, particularly its main architect Farage.

What are the failures of Brexit you'd be hammering down my throat in a smart way (as your first stupid person guinea pig)?

Imagine being offended by how someone spends money they've legitimately earned
Contempt would be more apt than offended.

It isn't about how she's spending her legitimately earned money, it is about the fact that she removed her name from the title deeds of the property she owned in Ashton before paying £800K for the property in Hove. She informed HMRC that she had "no interest in any other property" meaning she paid £40,000 in stamp duty for the purchase of a main residence rather than the £70,000 she would have paid had it been the purchase of a second home.

She has registered the property with the local council as a second/holiday home for the purposes of council tax however, continuing to register the Ashton property as her main residence for this purpose.

Now in the ordinary scheme of things I have no beef with people playing the system. Why wouldn't you? But to spend the years before the election up in arms about Boris Johnson's wall paper and saying you'll be different does rather rankle....

The fears aren't based on reality? These protests started because an asylum seeker approached two 14 year old girls and tried to assault them saying if they were back home they'd make good wives. This was in broad daylight in the midst of a busy area. The 999 recording from the woman includes here shouting continually "get away from those girls". Is that a figment of their imagination?

This is where you have severe comprehension issues. The fears of the people who believe that immigrants are offended by the St Georges Flag.

Not about Epping locals. Who want all asylum seekers gone because one of them was a vile rapist. They could equally ask for all men to be gone and be justified if we want to take a data driven approach to it.

Anyway, I think it's high time I stopped engaging with you. It's pointless.

I wouldn't call someone a c*nt unless i'd got to know them. I guess that's a fundamental difference between you and I.

Well considering your rationale on calling people you don't know a "douchebag" we all know thats a lie.

The fundamental difference between you and me is I love my son where as you openly loathe your children and I am not scared of someone because of how they look.

Saw some bloke tie them in knots yesterday when he highlighted all the racist graffiti that appeared this weekend

"you can't judge everyone on individual actions"

to which he replied

"there is a lesson in that statement somewhere"

Safe to say they didn't get it

in all seriousness though, the Govt still isn't doing enough about it, they need a solution. Maybe (and i say this as a left/centrist) the idea behind Rwanda wasn't the worst? poorly executed of course but right now, not enough deterrent and not enough to show the Govt of the day is handling it.

Laughable to see the Tories trying to point score though. Did nothing for the time they were in charge and now they have all the solutions?

Funnily enough, i dont think many in this country would have much issue with women and children coming in.
