2025/26 pre-season

Johnson picked the ball up to take the throw, but then had to drop it as he was subbed off.
I wonder if that counts as a touch? He desperately needs that to up his stats by 50%.

This will make you laugh. Richy is a better striker than Johnson is a wide player. See you would have never thought I would praise Richy in any way. 🤣

And this score could have and could still become very ugly. If Bayern had their shooting boots on today they could have easily score 4 or 5. Its preseason so not overly concerned, but it does confirm what we already kind of know about this side, even with Frank adjustments and improvements.

Richy is only good for 15 games a season because of his constant break downs
Johnson stays fit and playing in the same way Wissa did IMO would suit him
But that would need some craft in midfield which doesn’t exist with players out
And I do agree it’s a pre season game, no more or less

Assume Kudus was left today….

So he’s still starting Kudus left (where we have 2 other players - one just signed) and Johnson right (where Kudus does his best stuff).

Many will say it’s just pre season but this is the last game before our first competitive game and 9 days from the league and the wide sitch still appears very blurry to Frank.

You are someone who believes this squad doesn't need much work?

Pre season game or not, I've said this since Ange was here a lot of our squad really is average and there are a lot of overrated players on this forum. Blaming Ange for everything was wide of the mark, a lot of the players aren't good enough regardless of manager.

And it's disappointing that the ilk of player we are signing when in the CL is no different to the quality we would attract when not in it....

Wissa can actually control a ball. There's a lot more to his game than what Johnson has. As i said previously i'd sell this guy right now whilst there is some hype attached to his name and try and get as much of our money back as possible because long term hes only going to decrease in value.
