Mathys Tel

Hard to know how any young player is going to turn out but no way is Tel in the 50/60 million bracket , just posturing by Bayern or his agent.

Look how a young De Bruyne turned out , signed at 20 yrs old by Chelski , played just three games sent out on loan and eventually sold , didn't turn out a bad young player did he.

Don't think KDB had 60 games in league for Bayern, 13 games for a PL, plus 23 European cup appearances (including 15+ in CL) at 20. Tel is a prospect, he played/scored for Bayern at 17.

I actually don't think we as Spurs fans can judge him very well, he came into a massively struggling Spurs side when he was in his first form downturn of his career and had had limited playing time in 6 months prior to joining us. Seems like the club saw something in training, previous performances that indicate we are confident there is a player there.

I agree , Tel a teenager when he arrived has come into the strongest most physical league in the world into a team in poor form with debateable tactics and has struggled to impress, if people like Matty Wells (very good on youth) and Lange advise us to sign Tel then I would go with their judgement.

Around 40 million if you include the loan fee. If he steps up over the next couple of seasons it will be a steal if you look at what Liverpool are paying for Wirtz.

Great!
He's very young but is now joining (we have to assume) with the firm agreement of the new manager who puts an emphasis on coaching and developing.
Tel seemed eager to stay and has a colleague in Odobert here.
In a far from ideal situation in his time with us, he's showed hard work and skilful footwork as well as a strong mentality - his interaction with supporters showed quite some maturity.
He's been spoken of as one with huge potential and a high ceiling, we are getting him for roughly the same amount we've paid for Archie Gray.

Not sold on him but happy to give the benefit of the doubt and trust the decision makers. He has shown good maturity and mentality/work ethic (as others have said) so not writing him off by any means
Same for me. End quality needs work but he’s young.

My son told me he’s not overly quick and I think he’s right. But I saw potential.

Looks to have a great attitude on and off the pitch so no problem for me adding on the left seeing as Son probably going after this season and Moore going on loan.

Wish him well and hopefully becomes a Spurs legend.
