They're solid at the back, press the ball well and move it quickly. I'm of the opinion that we don't need the shinest sexy manager. We have a competent squad, that needs proper management, before game and in games. A set up that brings the best out of the players and a focus on being solid. Pragmatism is high up on my wants from the new guy.

I’d choose him over the other mid-table managers linked. Nice article on him today. I think he’d be quite demanding, maybe too much so for some of our hierarchy.

I think we will get either Glasner or Frank. Fine with both, they can only improve on this brick show of a league season.
Thomas Frank would really be a solid choice, underwhelming name but I think he would surprise people how good he is. To do what he has done at Brentford. Eddie Howe levels.

He's done well to lose Olise and Andersen and make do with Richards and a thin squad. He's even made Will Hughes look reasonable. Lacroix has been sensational for them this year, that was a cheat code that Glasner brought with him from Wolfsburg.
Today I heard a Palace superfan saying that Glasner never rotates, he plays his best team in every game regardless, which is fine when you aren't in Europe but would not work IF IF IF we are in Europe. That is what people forget when talking about Frank and Glasner. They don't know what it is like to play Prem and Europe and FA Cup and League Cup, it is massively more difficult to play twice a week.

If you're playing without European demands and have a fit squad then why would you need to rotate?
It's down to the club to provide a squad with depth to battle on all fronts - if the manager doesn't have that then the league will take priority (as long as there is something to be achieved via that route)

I find it very disrespectful to glasner, ange, palace and us that these stories are being made up days before both are in Cup finals.
Glasner would be good, he's proven himself in this league and also in Europe. You don't need to rotate when Palafe aren't in Europe, and also they don't have the squad depth that we do anyway.
More than that, every manager is going to have an asterix with potential drawbacks - can anyone here name this all singing all dancing manager with no potential negatives? He doesn't exist, and no @Gutter Boy the answer is not Poch....

I do think that for us Poch just now is the best answer.
Fair but tbh I'd rather we didn't go back for Poch I think it's far more likely his GHod like status would be tarnished. But at the same time I won't complain if he was appointed, but think it's more likely a Glasner type will be....
