***OMT*** Tottenham Hotspur v Bodø/Glimt*** Europa League Semi-Final Second-Leg Thursday May 8th, KO 8pm

Ta-daaaaaaa!
This season has had twists, turns, and a lot of farts which should not have been trusted.
Yet here we are.
On the cusp of a European Final for the first time since 2019. Which was the first time since 1984. Which was the first time...you get it. These things don't happen very often, certainly not as often as they should for us given that we're, well, us.
So let's have it.
Let's finish the job we started.
Let's bask in Romero leading us like a warrior! Let's roar as Vicario defies the laws of physics and gravity. Let's cheer as VdV charges in to steal every last ball. And let's scream with delight when Udogie and Porro show their will, pace, and grace in tough moments.
fudge the plastic...and fudge the past. This is NOW and NOW is OUR time!
No doubt we'll be who we are, and the collective squeak of N17-favoured ars-ese will becomne cacophonous at aroundn 9.57pm UK Time, but let us BELIEVE and let us understand that as a football club, we are the ONLY ones who can put a foot around the back of our heads, stand on one leg with our eyes closed and look fantastic doing it! We can bend, stretch, lose shape and then suddenly SNAP INTO GLORIOUS BODILY UNION!
WE ARE YOGA...which is an anagram for...

GO YA!

Oliver Reed didn't give a fu ck, he went for it. He knew the score. So do we...

Which means COYMFS!

Let’s hope that the OMT overlords are with you this time unlike at Anfield. I’m tentatively looking forward to the match but would have felt a lot more secure had we not embarked on our ‘everybody is injured’ campaign again.

I think that we need to play it tight. Let them have possession but ensure we don’t leave space for them to exploit. We have a two goal cushion and whilst I don’t want us to sit too deep, we have to play tactically wisely and respect Bodo/Glimt for their excellent home form.

I won’t predict a starting lineup as no doubt we will have another injury present itself before Thursday. Instead I’ll say that I hope Kulusevski can start from the bench. I have concerns over his fitness given recent displays. He played for 90 minutes v West Ham and not sure if he’s yet ready for two 90 minute, at least, performances in a week.

It does raise the question of who would start instead and Sarr would appear only other option. That would leave us playing with a midfield of three 8s devoid of any player that can play just off of our striker and who would be our creative spark to give us an outlet for attacks and ensure that we aren’t just on the back foot all game.

Bentancur appears best suited for the role of number 10 I think, if the midfield is Bissouma, Bentancur and Sarr. He has a better read of the game than the others and can be quick in possession to make a pass.

Anyway, I’m sure I’ve talked too much so I’ll stop here.

This debate about whether the winners of Europa should be in the Champions League is ridiculous.

They have more right then the 5/6th placed team in England. If we're gonna be real, go old skool and just make it the first placed team of each league and be done with it. No qualifiers for teams of so called lesser leagues either.

Win your league and you're in.

-------------Vicario
Spence--Danso--Davies--vdV
-----Sarr---Bentancur--Gray
-----Kulu----Solanke--Richy

Play for 0-0. Replicate the Jordan vs Gatuso game in Milan

Think we just continue with the Frankfurt away approach.

Stick to a 4-5-1. Sure attack given the opportunity BUT they are the ones that need 3 goals.

Keep Porro and Udogie in what one might call, normal FB positions and a deep double pivot of Biss and Bentancur I guess.

In the first leg, they (Bodo) looked like a group of sweet young boys that are tragically sent off to war to die. Physically we look far superior, we have to hope that's enough, just in case they breakout some wizardry A-game in the second leg.

Keep it tight, take all the yellows needed, be bullies for the night.

Re the bolded bit: it has to be remembered they had a few missing and most of those players will return on Thursday....

Ole and Lena got married. On their honeymoon trip they were nearing Trondheim when Ole put his hand on Lena’s knee. Giggling, Lena said, “Ole, you can go a little further now if you want to”…so Ole drove to Bodø.

Frankfurt away gives hope we can set ourselves up correctly as does Ange's previous meetings with Bodø in that he will know it's not a tie to be taken lightly
