OMT: Mighty Spurs vs Brighton & Hove Albion

Here's were unrealistic expectations start to cost us. We were never going to solve all of the issues with the squad in one window. Expecting us to do that is setting yourself up for disappointment.
Right on time. Not unrealistic to sign two CBs at all. Was a must plenty on here were saying it end of last season. Nothing to do with expectations.

We are getting done by simple balls over the top, a cb would read it a lot better.

Neither are stepping into the middle

They have both been out of position, why is royal on the right wing for the first goal?

Neither really step into the midfield and Davies passing isn't good enough for the system.
Which isn’t their fault
But anges lack of willingness to play the “kids” really bugs me
They play this position in training
Most have played it all their trashing over their career
And yet… we play a technically weak right back there
Neither of our makeshift Cbs has any real pace
It’s suixide with the attack bottling everything

yet another goal caused by a failure to track back with your man followed by a dumb challenge.

It has been a long time since I’ve seen such an error strewn performance. We have handed them three out of their four goals. They’ve tried desperately hard to let us score but we aren’t interested.

Hojberg
Not glaring, but their position has been very poor.
But your right, 3 goals against isn't an issue...

Cm have been poor, giving no outlet to Cb's that don't have the passing range to go longer and hit the forwards. Who can't trap a ball today.

Do you think Davies and Royal are a pl quality CB's challenging for the top 4?
Some of our fans think they are fine as backups. Davies only looked good next Romero because Romero made him look good.

Brighton have 10 injuries

It's not unrealistic to expect a Spurs 11 to be motivated, lose, maybe but this is feeble.

I hope Ange drops a bunch of them for Bmuff.

Yet could you point to one glaring mistake from Davies and Royal? With so much pressure for them to defend, you must be able to name them screwing up, because that is where the problem is right?

More the system no? With Romero we have someone aggressive who can push out if needed with VDV behind with his pace to sweep up.

We need two more CBs. You're correct. To expect us to get those, to get them 100% spot on in Ange's first window is a ridiculously high expectation.

Can't say they don't deserve to win, but 4-0 is flattering them a little IMO.

Shame the ref fudged up when Son was fouled in the box and we were denied a clear penalty. That, and Richy judging the offside better, and we might've gutten something.
