Hugo Lloris

I got as far as “unless he and Spurs can agree on a new club” and stopped reading.
Haven’t we said he can go on a free? So it’s not the club who has to agree to anything.

“The supporters [of Nice] and the team deserve better than a split-second decision based on a phone call without expectations or a clear sporting project with one hour until the closure of the window at a time where I wasn’t expecting it,”

WALOB.

Maybe he's waiting for ANY keeper in the top 10 leagues around the world to get injured, then Lloris can leap in to help out. I'm sure that must happen each year.

Think De Gea is still without a club too which is crazy.

Lloris is possibly at the end of his contract and career. Nothing wrong with a wait and see approach.

Maybe but let's not fool ourselves. Clubs would take advantage of players in that scenario.

I always felt that agents work is over stated. Their basic element, looking after the players interest could be undertaken by a good sports lawyer.

Their value beyond help with what a player deserves and looking out for them is their unscrupulous nature in being able to inflate what a players worth, not secure them against being taken advantage of.

Thats effectively all the PFA do, is act as a legal guide

No different to estate agents....ie what's the point.

Big difference. Estate agents typically charge between 0.9 and 3.6% of the cost of selling the house. Football agents got up to 40% of some deals (pogba to utd being one). Getting paid by both the selling club and buying club. Where they actually should be paid by the player as at the end of the day. He is who they are supposed to work for. Clubs also pay the agent loyalty fees for players to stay at their club and do the job they are paid to do.
