Not sure who the BBC reporter was who wrote that however to class that as a 'robust response' is as far from accurate as possible!

He dodged the question as you would expect.

Only question now is whether Levy puts the call in to Celtic tomorrow or waits til Monday

Or hopefully not at all.

We’ve been moving backwards imo. 5 years of terrible football decisions at boardroom level are to blame.
We have
For sure
It happens
Clubs make mistakes
The biggest club in England are watching their rivals mug them off season after season with titles and a treble invoking.
We are all parlaying catch up
If you look at spurs history it’s roughly 5 years hood… 10 years average… 5 years bad.. and start again

Why would he talk to Celtic?
Ange is out of contract at the end of this month

On viasport, have tottenham talked to you you? I dont want to take anything from the feeling today. That will be for another day…

I read that he had a 1 year rolling contract, in which case we do need to speak to Celtic

Various places report the rolling contract, perhaps repeating each other. Why do you thikn he's out of contract in June?

That’s when contracts end in football
Rolling means he has to agree for it to roll on

OK, generally in contract law a 'rolling contract' means that the contract always has a year to run. So it doesnt have a termination date because it always has the year to run

There is no other agreement needed - the parties have agreed that there's always the one year tail and notice period

Really… that’s not how any contracts ive seen work but as I’ve said before I’m not an employment contract expert
What’s the actual point of them then.. 1 years notice?
A normal rolling contract means after the initial period your notice is your pay period e.g. one month

The point is that both sides remain committed to each other for the long-term without re-writing contracts every time you get near to termination of the agreement

So its provides protection both ways, but commitments both ways

That sounds more like an evergreen contract
I googled how they work in normal employment law and notice after the initial contracted period is one pay period

Let's agree to disagree on this. I agree with lots of your views but not on contracts/corporate things. We don't even know what the terms of Ange's contract are, so somewhat pointless trying to discuss what those unknown terms mean!

100% I agree :)
We don’t know what we don’t know
I think that’s one of the biggest issue now in football
We have ill informed trolls spouting truth bombs with no consequence
And we then have the media following suit by my copying each other
The worst thing are the aggregator accounts that take everything and regurgitate it

it does kook like ange is now the man… until he isnt

First i was gutted about we maybe ended up with Ange, when I wanted JN, LE, poch.. and when I see the intervju with players at Celtic, the supporters, profiles to the Club… and see all the love they all have… I think we need this now. Im not shoure if he is a name that players we need want to play for, but the Celtic players talked about the Club was a family… and we had that feeling with poch.
I belive now that he will love Spurs and we will love him.
