Liverpool have agreed a fee with Roma for striker Fabio Borini and the player has arrived on Merseyside to undergo a medical

Loick Landre?

Apologies, I was thinking of Kevin Gemeiro who they signed last year. Scored bucket load of goals for Lorient the two years before and then had an OK year at PSG last year. Still, a French international who probably wont be able to get into their team - shows their strength

get the fcuk in. this is amazing news. As said before he is not a risk and will get us 15-20 goals a season. 30 goals strikers are hard to come by, but with him and defoe, and hopefully Damiao and Sturridge that will be enough.

Go on Levy, £40m for Damiao and Oscar, do it!

Sell Modric, and get Moutinho.

and splash some more cash!

Friday woooooooooooooooooooooo!

To be fair to ArcspacE wasn't the Vert official thread started before he had actually passed the medical? Even though it was announced on the OS...it was still subject to a medical so technically could have gone wrong.

True, but a medical is a formality. With this thread, you're almost inviting the football gods to resume their usual Spurs-related cruelty and get PSG to nip in at the last minute and offer him 400k a week or something. The jinx, mate- it's alive and well.

Manchester United chief scout Jim Lawlor has flown to Brazil to tie up a £25million deal for Sao Paulo winger Lucas Moura.

Club secretary John Alexander could join him this weekend as the deposed champions attempt to make their third signing of the close-season - and see off last minute interest from Inter Milan.

Sao Paulo say they want over £30million for the gifted 19-year-old, but Old Trafford bosses are convinced they will sell for less than that - and may attempt to throw Brazilian midfielder Anderson, deemed surplus to requirements with the arrivals of Shinji Kagawa and Nick Powell, into the deal.

With Chelsea appearing to have dropped their interest in Moura, United now only have to see off Inter to land their No.1 summer target.

Asked if Inter had made headway in their negotiations with Sao Paulo, club president Massimo Moratti said on the club's official website, www.inter.it: "Yes we have but the progress that has been made is to see whether or not there is a chance (to buy the player).

"Now we have to see if we can manage to carry it out. These are things that have to take place by putting everything together, which also means taking a look at our revenue."

Junior Hoilett is close to agreeing a deal with Borussia Monchengladbach, Sky Sports understands.

Sources in Germany have confirmed to Sky Sports that the former Blackburn winger is expected in the country this weekend to conclude a deal.

Sky Sports revealed earlier this month that Hoilett had held talks with several English clubs about his future.

The 22-year-old has spoken with Tottenham, Liverpool, Everton,Saudi Sportswashing Machine, QPR and Reading over recent weeks, whilst Blackburn made a big effort to keep him.

But Hoilett has strong connections in Germany having spent two years playing on loan there earlier in his career.

His brother also plays professional football in Germany and the chance for the family to be close is believed to be a big factor in the decision.

As it stands Hoilett is now due to fly to Germany in the next 24 hours to try and wrap up a move to Gladbach, who will play UEFA Champions League football next term.
