Coronavirus

I don't get why we don't put people into quarantine that fly in here, you could get a flight from NY to Heathrow then just saunter off and get the tube to anywhere you like.
Apparently the advice was and still is that the difference it makes is negligible.

Yep, not much can be done, the industry is on its utter knees

When anything is on its knees you fcuk it yeahhhhh.

Would love to see some imaginative ideas of what will get us out of this mess. If this is going to be a financial hit like the second world war we will need some imaginative ways to restart the economy.

America had the new deal, we could have the green deal. The conservatives love investing were big on it in the 80s. This time round they could start a new British renewable energy company with wave and wind turbines and open it up to just British taxpayers to invest in and reap the dividends.

Necessity is the mother of invention. Really hoping to see new ideas coming through.

The UK often ranks low in terms of healthcare against other rich countries when objective measures are used too.

That's simply not true.

Alongside that, the UK has consistently ranked higher than Germany in most areas, the system you keep citing.

we will just try to sell off more things I guess..

wave power was something I was briefly involved in about 11 years ago (along with voltage optimisation).
The tech is there but the issue is locations and ships not following rules
We looked at it for the sever estuary and a Dutch system that was being trialled near to Hook... would never work the way we let boats do their own thing too much
