Me too, I also enjoyed the first half, it was a good game for the neutral, but we were awful in midfield especially second half.
Better, more efficient teams will punish us just as utd and bayern did.
Wolves, if I remember correctly struggle to score, just as well for us.

I think they played decent but it’s arguable they had room because she occupied the whole right hand side

have to say people say you need a DM... wolves don’t play with a DM and aren’t doing bad. Hell the DM they signed is playing centre back

You could argue they almost play with three DMs at CB... They're all very capable with the ball at their feet. Coady is a real dark horse.
 
Seven shots on target each but they edged us in possession. A real Mourinho special that. I'm almost starting to feel like we deserved it.
 
What is the opposite of "take the sting out"? Push the sting in?
We just kept giving them the ball so cheaply, every time we heroically battled and scraped and fell over and got it back, we just gave it straight back to them.

I was really surprised Mourinho didn't shut the game down when we went 1-0 up... I expected him to nullify everything, get everyone back, falling over, whining, just brickhousing and meandering, but no. He seemed to like the basketball chasing and fighting in the rain.

A crazy game that could easily have gone the other way. It is interesting though, that they didn't have "high XG chances"... people did say that MouMou concentrates on things like that i.e. they can have the ball, they can have a shot from a bad area... but just keep them away from the central 18 yards.
