Well...this is the dose of reality that was always going to come along at some point. No way do we deserve to be level but fair play to Dele for creating something out of nothing (fudge VAR for trying it's best to look for a way to not give it).

Winks and Sissoko really do not look like they should ever be paired together. Winks has been poor defensively, whilst Sissoko has actually moved around the ball in order to pass it straight back when already in a perfect position to receive it on the turn. I can only believe that he is on to help double up on Rashford. On that note, Sanchez has had a half to forget. If he wanted to prove to Jose that he's not fit for us to go forward with, then he couldn't have done more in this 45.

I think that with a few tweaks and maybe 1-2 subs we could turn this around. UTD will be gutted that they haven't scored more than one goal, but probably happy that they have severely limited us to next to no goal attempts.

To be level must be a mental blow for them. Mourinho will address our deficiencies at half time.

Credit verts for actually delivering a cross that put them under pressure but pure class from Alli.

Obviously we’ve defended poorly and ceded too much possession but need more from the attacking players who are also turning the ball over too much.

good recovery from Gazza. I’d be tempted to put Sissoko rb and bring on NDom and Lo Celso for Moura

I turned it on at KO, so I’m only now aware that Jim Rosenthal is manning this, making it the best football coverage on TV, thank you Amazon.

Yes. You see the ball hit the net, dont get excited, wait for the replay on screen, look for possible offences. Wait for VAR check. Then finally have your moment, 45 seconds or more later.

VAR killing enjoyment of scoring a goal
Totally agree. And on top of that, the new handball rule is a joke. Even if that ball had brushed Dele's arm, it should never be a foul.

Outrageous goal. Poor performance, so many individual errors and United (Rashford) are better at taking advantage than the previous three teams we've come up against. Could easily have conceded our mandatory two goals and more already.

Seeing the best and worst of some of the players that need to improve or get out imo.

Good to see us picking up in the final fifteen minutes, better from Winks, Alli, Kane, Sissoko. Still need to do better and I think we can, we've been inconsistent so far under as Mourinho so time for some of the positives in the second half.

United targeting Aurier with every attack.
Sissoko having to move across to cover all the time.
Winks left in the middle on his own.

It's an absolute mess.

Foyth or Dier for Aurier.
NDombele for Sissoko.

It is that simple
Their playing a flat back 4 and we’re playing a 3 plus sissoko

The problem isn't Winks and Sissoko, it's Aurier and Sissoko. Play those two together and we end up with two RBs and light in central midfield.
But sissoko seems to be the kick to cover for players
I’m convinced he was there Saturday to cover for NDombele and today he is covering for Aurier

Poor really but the goal has lifted us, lack of intensity and second to every loose ball.

Sanchez needs to sort his head out.

despite a poor showing we can take this.

Not sure its fair to blame Gazzaniga for Rashford's goal. Fierce shot which he just about had covered but was undone by the wicked bounce just before he got a touch onto the post. Cruel luck.
