***OMT - Spurs vs FC Barcelona***

So to go through, this must happen:

- We must smash PSV twice and Inter once.
- Barca must beat Inter twice.
- Inter could beat PSV, but with a small margin.

Not unlikely...but when you start to rely on ifs and buts and other teams' results, you know you're in trouble.

We should have course get something from Camp Nou, but I wouldn’t count on that.

Europa here we come!
noooo - we will crash and burn before going down to the el

My comment was about Poch rigidly sticking to playing it out from the back. How often does the our keeper go long? Even one as poor with his feet as Vorm. Perhaps Pep/Sarri plan to play it fro the back SOMETIMES and not other times. So they have a nuanced plan. In which case I'll say that perhaps Poch needs a more nuanced plan. Like when playing a Barca team that is pressing well with a few minutes remaining and one goal in it, hoof it upfield to reduce the chances of them walking it into the net and putting the game to bed.
Exactly that. That’s a stupid goal, if it was a ball lost in their penalty box so be it, we literally handed them the game there and then and we probably had another 2 attacks left.

Think we might be better off crashing out bottom of the group than finishing 3rd. We have more chance of nicking a domestic cup and a top 4 place if we have no European football imo. In the Europa, we could see the league season phucked and then end up with nothing at the end of the season. We want to be in the Champions League when the stadium is ready for next season.

I can see your point ... but, aiming high and echoes of glory and all that. I reckon we can win the Euro cup if we give it a proper go. A lot easier to win a domestic one though, if we decide to give a fudge.

With Llorente and Kane upfront too - punt it long! Never easy for a player returing to hit the ground running, and to say Lloris didn't is an understatment. In hindsight Gazza would have been better.

Decent performance considering, good spirit shown, seriously lacking in defence but barca can do that to you especially when you’re missing your main defender and your GK has a mind bender!

Right that’s enough for me my sweet people. Not as devastating as some previous losses for me, just frustrating this one as it could have been different. I think the Chumpions League this year is not meant to be. Focus on the league and other cups and just chillax in the CL as let’s face it it’s an uphill task but no pressure now.

Night night.

Sleep tight, sweet prince.

I always want us to win of course, would love us to win the Europa League if that's where we end up. It just feels like this season, it's too much to ask of the squad. I guess we just try and beat PSV twice and see what happens!

I believe it's head-to-head before total goal difference, so if we beat PSV twice and then beat Inter 1-0 or by two or more goals, that would be enough if Barca beat Inter twice. Not convinced Barca will beat Inter away though. They won't need to at that stage. But we're far from out yet.

I think it does show how far we are away from the top top table - not just players but as a club and not all money related.

Hopefully we will start to learn some of the lessons from the past couple of season.

Just spent the last twenty minutes trying to defend us, and getting stupidly wound up in the process, in a chat group with ‘mates’. They wonder why I take insults about Spurs so personally. Then they tell me such one liners as ‘Chelsea have more class’ and ‘Arsenal are better’. Total clams.
