*** Tottenham vs Swansea OSOMT ***

Some super sexy football being played here
The interplay is fast and slick. Think all the front four are on that wavelength.

Dele does it sometimes but usually dallies and quite often has his own opinion what he's going to do with the ball next. :)

Kane will interchange (his mid/long range passing is different level this season) but is obviously more interested about banging it in the net, which is fair enough.

So basically Swansea have got 2 camera angles... one at the half way line and one at the 6 yard line.... so any offside inbetween (i.e. nearly all offsides) are impossible to tell.

And Peter Walton "at VAR HQ" says he thinks it was onside, but it's not his decision as he is not the ex-ref in the VAR hotseat!

Lino got that right. Hardly any need for such a delay.
shame as it is, that was so close you couldn't call it so what is the clear and obvious bit...and what happened to the benefit of the doubt for the attacker. secondly does this mean you should carry on and try an score when you are called off, just in case it's subsequently called wrong?

The thing about that goal is that it was ruled out on the pitch, so the 'clear and obvious mistake' bit presumably asks whether it was a mistake to rule it out....in which case its not obvious that it was a mistake so its right for the goal not to stand

Had the linesman not given it offside though but then they checked it, the goal would have stood as it wouldnt have been a clear and obvious error to allow it.

Benefit of the doubt for the attacker hasn't been a thing for years.

With Son and Moura we have two direct runners, it's going to be great to have at least one of them as a game changing option from the bench.
