Daniel Levy - Chairman

Clueless idiots and if all you want is a bunch of "bought trophies" why are you following Spurs?

Levy will turn out to be one of the most important figures in our club's history, stepping in at a time when clubs like Villa, Saudi Sportswashing Machine and others (peer group) were fading away, getting us consistently into Europe, delivering the training ground, stadium and increasing our global image with good managers and even better player acquisition ..

20 years from now, Levy will be on the list of names that are inherently part of the club's glory.

Let me guess "Happy Clapper" and other four letter words to endorse such views. Class

Not far off - think they were hoping you were lurking around and could explain why Levy isnt a clam...

So ive stepped up to the plate in your absence

They're just old blokes who think it's still the olden days and blame Levy cause he isn't pumping loads of money in to the club - they dont understand modern football and the position we're in.

Im always pulling one of my Dads mates up for it on Facebook but it always falls on deaf ears

I'm worried for some of our OAPs getting radicalised online now

Im not sure that answers the question at all.

FFP is enforced in a very inconsistent way. Emirates Marketing Project are allowed to blatantly skirt the rules, having blatantly broken them, and were let off as "they appear to be trying to comply" even though they dont.

PSG pull a very similar move, and are rather forcefully leant into by FFP demanding they comply.

Why the difference?
Both PSG and City were both punished and then the sanctions were lifted once the rules were relaxed https://www.fourfourtwo.com/news/ffp-sanctions-man-city-and-psg-lifted-uefa-confirms.

Since then Emirates Marketing Project have made a token effort to apply them by reducing base wages and increasing their commercial deals while PSG have not hence the difference.

The sanctions may not have been as strict as we all want and City may be only paying lip service to meeting them but the way they are going about it are very difficult to disprove, the commercial deals are comparable to others out there. We all know if they were not owned by the Arabs their cousins wouldn't be paying that much for sponsorship but UEFFA proving that is not that easy (City would go to CAS?).

I don't believe this but...

Under Levy this is the longest we have gone without a trophy if even Wigan, Birmingham, Swansey have won since we have he is Shi7. Remember that January good under good old Harry he bought Saha and Nelson, he wanted Tevez and Cahil but he was just too tight...

The last time we won a trophy - which was triffic, we finished 11th. And while I loved seeing us lift pots in the 80's, beating Madrid etc., topping our CL group, playing scintillating football with home-grown players is a thrill. And given the money-doping in the game Levy has done brilliantly.

That’s not true
And it’s being discussed in one group and You answered in another, where there’s only one post on the subject

Fair enough, thats filled in some blanks.

Still farcical though! Whats happening at City, I mean... o_O

I want a Lamborghini, the reason I don't buy one isn't because I'm tight, it's because it's not fiscally responsible.

What we have done is the longest run in the club's history of consistent league results, 3 CL qualifications, a new ground & the stadium next year, with a greatly increased global profile that sets the club up for the next 20 years.

Where is Wigan, Birmingham & Swansea right now?

Not calling you out specifically, but a lot of this whining about "I didn't get the shiny toy I want" or we haven't won a trophy feels like having a conversation with children. 400K/week for fudging Sanchez, do our fans really feel we should/can be paying that? There are 5 clubs that consistently outspend us by magnitudes, and we have finished above every one of them in last 4 years ..

I was framing the argument not agreeing to it, should have put that bit in larger font.

I am as close to being a happy clapper as possible while still retaining my spurs pessimism. Love what we are doing and how we are doing it, if we did get an obvious sugar daddy owner I would pretty much stop supporting

What isnt true? Someone made a post calling Grays out to make himself known, to which i replied - if you're signed up to that group feel free to respond to my posts, though i dont expect to last too long given the guy running it's 'zero tolerance' on pro Levy posters...

If you're talking about the 200 odd post thread on the Spurs Show podcast page on FB AlanTHFC, who is making a lot of anti Levy posts there is actually one of the guys i refered to previously and i have shared a beer or two with him plenty of times over the years.

I wouldn't stop supporting if we got a sugar daddy owner, the game is absurd whatever way we go about it as a club. I've made this argument before, but what's so noble about Arsenal charging their fans the highest prices in the world and having a Europa League team, as opposed to Emirates Marketing Project fans watching a top side for half the ticket price?

There is no right way of doing things when we pay footballers millions of pounds per year, agents millions of pounds and other clubs tens of millions. This is a world where we pay £30m for Sissoko, plus what, £80k a week in wages? I don't blame him for taking it of course, but there's not much point in moralising about our righteous way of doing things when we are taking part in the absurdity of professional football, just in a smaller way. It's all b0ll0cks in the end.

And as for Levy -- if we'd have had him instead of that ar5ehole Sugar in charge for all those years, we might have won a league title before the Oil Money came into the game. We wasted so many years with Sugar, Levy had a lot of ground to make up the first few seasons in charge. But we saw under Jol, HR and through to Poch that we have gone from mid-table sh1te to a team that challenges for Champions League football each season. That's down to Levy.

I blame Tim Berners-Lee.

Not so long ago you would only encounter these mongos spouting their thoughtless brick in the pub or on the terraces and you could say your piece to them and they'd generally hunch up and shuffle off to annoy and bore someone else. Nowadays, though, they can create a fudging FB page and somehow search each other out.

Darwin must be turning in his grave.

He is not without fault but I believe without him we could easily have gone down the Aston villa, Leeds route.

But yes it is time for him to do a few things differently to support poch more.

But that does not necessarily mean to go but a flashy new player to keep the fans happy in January. However if he wants to create some buzz and get the world watching in our new stadium we absolutely need to get champions league football for next season.

Speculate to accumulate and I'm sure the club can sustain taking a punt.

Frankly I'm surprised they are operating computers or smartphones.

They're clearly not the thinky end of the gamut of Spurs fans.
