With Emirates Marketing Project and Man Utd supposedly tabling £20m and £25m bids for Sanchez do you think a £30m bid from us could be a good move. If only to make Arsenal shiver at the thought of him moving accross town.

He’d obviously never come and it would only drive up the price they get.

It won't push the price up. With Sanchez in the last six months of his contract, he is complete control of where he is going and can just refuse to move to a club. He is meant to have already agreed terms with City. United's bid is about how their fans perceive them and the gulf between them and City rather than a serious attempt to sign him.

The way its set up, it seems to me, to simply be a mechanism for stopping teams like ours breaking into the big time.

All the big clubs established their wealth, their monopoly, and now they get to live with those means - effectively nobbling anyone from coming up in the same way.
 
Man U are desperate and it's the only thing they can do is throw money at it and hope that works!
We have been here before and it smacks of brick or bust for Man U.
Mou could be threatening to look elsewhere!
Remember they are not going to win title this year and maybe in the near future?
 
Interesting to read that of the mooted £35 million United are spending in transfer fees, only £20 mil goes to Arsenal, £15 mil to Sanchez' agent.

I wonder how long until they break the record £41m they paid Raiola to get Pogba to return to them.

Sorry but with a player like Sanchez it's a fairly safe bet he will work out. On his day the guy is as good as there is in the league.
