Why is Ginola not on the coaching team yet?

I remember shortly after Timmy had taken over the reigns, David saying that he'd love to be a part of the set up, that he sees he old team mates Tim, Stefan and Les and it makes him want to be there too. He also said he's good friends with Daniel Levy and he's spoken to him.... He said he was doing his badges etc etc so why is he not there yet?!?

I mean even if it was just an old pals gimmick it generates even more of a feel good factor surely?

The things he was suggesting he can help with are things we DO need help with! Last night before they scored, Azza picked up a threatening ball down the right wing....as the ball was played to him there was a man in from of him and about six yards between him and the goal was the next man, by the time the ball arrived at lennon's feet there were three defenders in that line, Lennon looked up, it was four! And by the time he moved it was quickly five then six. It was an amazing piece of defending as a team unit (Azza played it long to adebayor who was flagged offside.) and something we fortunately don't come up against all of the time but Ginola could maybe coach players like Azza or Townsend on when to go and when not to, how to quickly evaluate the position you're in etc

Just seems strange how this was made public and then "the silence is deafening, isn't it?"

The White Hart Lane legend completes his UEFA A coaching licence in the summer and is already considering where he might like to dip his toe into the world of football coaching.

With his former team-mates Sherwood and Les Ferdinand currently in charge at the club, Ginola believes specialist knowledge gleaned from years as the creative force for PSG, Saudi Sportswashing Machine, Spurs and Aston Villa among others could give Tottenham the edge they need as the race for the top four places heats up.

“I would love to help out,” said Ginola. “It would be a great job to make my first steps into the business. It would be great to see how I worked with the players and whether I could add something positive to the team - especially Spurs.

“Obviously I would have some ideas and some good stuff.

“I would love to be involved with the club and bring on some new ideas about the way Tottenham should play.”

In particular, Ginola believes he can unlock the full potential of Andros Townsend.

The former France international humbly proclaims he is not worth it when I include him in a list of Tottenham flair players that includes Ossie Ardiles, Paul Gascoigne and Chris Waddle. But the fact remains that since the departure of Gareth Bale, Spurs have not had a world-class virtuoso to add his own dimension.

“I haven’t really seen anybody doing anything really special for Tottenham this season,” said Ginola. “Emmanuel Adebayor, perhaps, in terms of scoring goals.

“But not somebody getting the ball in the middle of the park, going forwards, taking the danger into the last third of the pitch – I have not seen that much.

“Tottenham haven’t bought any players capable of doing something like that and the one player they have who could do is Andros Townsend.

“The trouble is, at the moment he doesn’t succeed much because he has so many shots off target. So many times he fails to get any reward for the things he tries.

“He can really bring something to the team and when the ball reaches his feet, you can see that he has the capability of creating something completely different.

“However, when he is running at players, dribbling and doing his stuff, the final decision he makes is not really appropriate. He goes on to shoot when he should have passed or tried a one-two.

“I would love to work with him on getting all the end product. His start is always good – getting the ball from the line and running inside or outside.

“He needs to work out how he gets a cross in, or how he will get a shot on and he needs help to decide what happens next. That makes a major difference in modern football – the difference between a great player and an average one. That’s where Gareth Bale scored so highly.

“Andros should have had more goals and more assists. Too often people are disappointed with the final result. I would love to work with him to find out why he takes the decisions he does.”

Townsend should be fit again for Sunday’s game against Everton, another of the BT Sport anaylst Ginola’s former clubs, with Mousa Dembele also back in training.

It is the first game back at White Hart Lane since the 5-1 demolition by Emirates Marketing Project nine days ago and Ginola believes that while many have suffered against Emirates Marketing Project, Tottenham must do better this time round against another of the Premier League’s top sides.

“We saw them struggle against Emirates Marketing Project and if you cannot compete with the best, how are you going to be among the best?” said Ginola. “That’s a problem.

“You could see the limit of signing a lot of players in the summer. Against the best, Spurs have struggled.

“I don’t know if they are going to finish in the top four – it seems that everybody is playing for that. It is very tight.

“But needless to say it would be another disappointment to miss out again.”
 
I was watching a stream of the PSG match this week and he was in the studio at half time talking, no idea what he was saying as it was all French, the cheek of it.
 
Just the idea of him working with Andros makes it with it. Andros has the abilities but he to often make the wrong choice. But he backs other teams up and scares opposition. He needs to concentrate on his composure before shooting. He has a great shoot in both feet but rushes it to often. And he needs to get his head up at times.

Since when has that stopped us appointing anyone. I think someone who can coach a defense on when to push up and when to hold the line, and who to track and pick up at set pieces would be of more use at the moment.
 
i dont think he's a people person, saw an interview with jef stelling saying he was asked to leave the soccer saturday set as he couldnt get on with the other "lads"

Another feather in his cap, if he thinks the Top Gear "lads" are a bunch of cnuts then he is my sort of man.
