Just sounds like someone trying to justify their summer window to the fanbase to me.
Makes a big deal about needing to get money in to do other deals and wouldn’t accept a penny less than original asking price - then agrees a price + player (so not getting the full cash price anyway).
Levy’s played it right and as mentioned above Sessegnon is injured so why bring him in earlier than we need to? A few weeks wages saved - small in the grander scheme but look after the pennies and all that...

Sounds like flimflam to me. Isn't FFP averaged over a few seasons?

    No idea.

Though the way he is carrying on, I wouldnt be surprised if he knew about as much as me anyway...

Those comments are very reactionary which makes him seem incredibly juvenile and cantankerous. Sessegnon can only read those comments and think "whew, got myself clear of that sinking ship!"

Definitely in UEFA and the Premier League versions of FFP.
I'm pretty sure the Championship FFP rules are per season to stop teams spending their way to promotion for multiple season and then escaping sanctions once they are up.

Still doesn't make any sense. The year one result of purchasing a player is only their amortised value that year - signing anyone on a 4, 5 or 6 year contract would make a minimal difference.

Love how chairman keep whinging about Levy yet they end up doing deals with him - no one is holding a gun to their head telling them they have to do it. If you think there’s a better deal elsewhere go and get it. They just can’t handle the fact Levy is the master of his craft....

    This..

If Khan wants the money so bad to buy someone else then drop your asking price before the deadline or decline the offer.

I don’t think Levy’s complained about any other club since Berbatov and Keane we’re tapped up.

He’s above it even when you’ve got Brady and the dildo brothers chatting crap about us.

The unholy trinity have to keep having a go about us to try and keep their mugs happy and forget how crap they are.

Ryan Sessegnon has made the right choice to join Tottenham because Mauricio Pochettino can guide him to the very top.

That is the verdict of former Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic who gave Sessegnon his debut as a 16-year-old and helped develop the England prospect.

Sessegnon, 19, was a target of a host of top clubs this summer but made it clear that he was only interested in joining Spurs because of Pochettino’s record of developing young players.

Tottenham got a £30m deal done on deadline day and Jokanovic believes the left back has the potential to get an England call-up after moving to White Hart Lane.

Jokanovic, who is now in charge of Qatari club Al-Gharafa, told Mirror Sport: “Ryan is really competitive, I'd highlight his focus on the game and his hard work.

“Since he started being a regular with us at the first team he always showed to be keen to listen to the manager and improve and you never had the feeling he was not ready for it.

“Over a hundred games and over 30 in Premier League by the age of 19, you get the experience required to take this step.

“I believe he can perfectly play for Spurs and has still got a huge career ahead and room for improvement.

“We were lucky to be part of his first seasons as a pro and he pays us back with his performance levels who were an important part on the way we played and our promotion at Fulham, like other players as well, and now he is joining a team where Pochettino knows how to manage the progress of young players as well.

“It will give him the platform to show in an even bigger stage what he can do.

"In that sense, Spurs is a good choice and I expect big things from him because I know he will keep his will to improve and great attitude.”

Steven Sessegnon getting starts at Fulham now, and seems to be doing well.

I wonder if our alleged interest in him will persist? Could we end up with twin fullbacks?

Went to Fulham last night, as my mate is a season ticket holder and had a spare. Can confirm that Steven looks really good. If they don’t come up and kwp isn’t working out for us at RB then I can definitely see us going for him. On a side note Fulham were unplayable last night.

Annoyingly his contract runs until 2022, so we won’t be signing him until deadline day 2021, with Skipp going the other way...

Can’t help but feel the answer Poch wanted to say was “left back”, but it probably made sense not to trigger Danny anymore than he already is! :D
