From a time when we had 4 strikers

Also you can just catch a glimpse of the customary Mike Dean "advantage given, leads to goal" celebration :)

    Lloris
    Tanganga Sanchez Alderweireld Vertonghen
    Lo Celso Winks Ndombele
    Lamela Bergwijn
    Moura

I'd play Alli if one of the front three is more fatigued than him.
Mourinho likely to play Aurier and Tanganga at full backs

    Well done, very brave.

I watched the Cheatski versus Man Utd game a few days ago and it was very interesting... most of the game was "challenges" i.e. 2 players flying towards the ball, one man is smashed and falls over, ref has a decision to make.

It was extremely feisty, loads of big clashes and tasty whacks.

Which leads me to think the Spurs game (MouMou's return) could be an all out fight with several sendings off and the ref/VAR deciding who wins, rather than talent.

Just imagine Azpilicueta chuntering on to the ref for 98 minutes and diving and squaring up to people and thrusting his forehead into their face and being an utter, utter uberc*nt for the entire match. Gonna be painful to watch that.

    Pat Nevin:

Mourinho's elephantine memory will recall how he was totally outflanked tactically by Lampard when Chelsea won 2-0 at Spurs on 22 December.

Spurs have won 14 points to Chelsea's nine in the period since then but Mourinho is unlikely to have forgotten how he was so comprehensively outsmarted that day.

Lampard's decision to use a three-man central defence of Antonio Rudiger, Zouma and Fikayo Tomori caught Mourinho, who usually prepares for all eventualities, totally off guard and Chelsea eased to victory.

How will the Portuguese respond on Saturday? Will the pupil Lampard have another surprise up his sleeve against the seasoned tactician?

Nevin said: "Frank did him tactically in the first game. It hurts him when anyone does that. I think he will now be ready for everything, although you have to remember Jose was just in the door then.

"He was learning about his players, their capabilities and what suited the team best but he doesn't like anyone tactically outflanking him.

"I think it was because Frank used something that was so unexpected. He went so similar in style to the Maurizio Sarri system and it was the last thing that was expected. Chelsea managed to get ahead in the game, establish that platform and pushed on from there.

"I suspect Frank has more questions to answer at the moment, more decisions to make system-wise. It will be a really intriguing tactical battle.

"I think the two of them will try to pull a surprise. I don't know what it will be but I can certainly see that happening. I'll be almost as interested in what's going on in the technical area as the game."

3-0 Spurs, an entire royal menagerie of animal noises detected in the crowd by our players, the rinds of several exotic fruits spotted being hurled vigorously to the floor and personal messages from Elvis and Lord Lucan.

I do hope everyone going has their booing voices in fine form for Rudiger. I think we should all let him know what a lying clam we think he is.

Four players remain sidelined as we build up to Saturday lunchtime’s clash with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

There’s encouraging news on midfielder Moussa Sissoko, though, who has commenced on-field rehabilitation after undergoing knee surgery recently.

Defender Juan Foyth, meanwhile, is in the late stages of conditioning following a groin injury.

Moussa and Juan remain out, alongside Harry Kane, who is continuing rehabilitation from his hamstring injury, and Heung-Min Son, who is recovering following arm surgery.

    .................Lloris.........................

    Tanganga....Sanchez....Toby.....Verts

    Aurier......LoCelso....Winks....Sessegnon

    ..........NDombele......................

    ................Dele.........................

Not too much to chose between up front. Think we should keep I've got a micropenis, Lamela and Lucas for a late assault against a tiring team. Would be happy to revolve any of the "false 9" positions but think ideally Lucas deserves a well-deserved break from leading the line by himself. Hopefully Dele channels his anger at being substituted in the right way.

I'm expecting Dier and Lamela to come on and start stomping on people. Whatever the scoreline.

Very pleased that Kante is out for 3 weeks, I hoped as much when he went down in pain against United.
