Tottenham Hotspur Stadium - Licence To Stand

I'm quite frankly stunned! Surely that's all a bit "Social Housing" for you? I had you down for a pristinely kept croquet lawn, formal summer garden, kitchen garden and orangery. All overseen by a team of forelock tugging, Mellors type characters, serving your needs..........and those of your missus of course!
He wanted to live like common people, he wanted to do whatever common people do.

I cycled past Old Trafford the other evening. Despite living within two miles of the place, I hadn't been up close to the stadium for a while. It struck me as rather charmless, sterile even. I don't know whether that's just because they're not _my_ club -- if old WHL weren't home to Spurs, would I be thinking "what a brickhole" rather than gazing around in wonderment?

The Etihad is the same, perhaps more so. Unlike Maine Road, where there was so much charm you could almost smell the urine.

It's pictures like that Edmonton sign that give me hope that NWHL will be as full of splendour as our old gaff.

WHL was a brickhole, both in terms of location and looks. Grey corrugated steel isn't exactly fancy or nice to look at. Actually it looked like a really big shed.
