    Ange’s system / formation

I’m not sure I agree with this. The chances we created against Saudi Sportswashing Machine weren’t great ones and I don’t think there were several of them. Two chances for Werner, one with the ball arriving at pace at an awkward height with him also running at pace and another (the easier of the two chances...

***TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs Saudi Sportswashing Machine OMT***

I don’t believe they did. If they really wanted another manager they would’ve sacked Arteta…. You know, exactly the way that Levy does every year or two.

Yesterday’s performance reminded me of a typical AVB Spurs horror show without Bale to bail us out with a 30 yard screamer. Lots of pointless slow passing in front of the opposition as they get themselves nicely set, the whole team gradually edging up too high leaving acres of space for the...

So they wanted just one single manager more than Arteta? That doesn’t mean they wanted Arteta gone. I’m sure Levy wants Klopp more than Postecoglou, doesn’t mean he wants Postecoglou gone. ‘Didn’t want Saliba’? Or just didn’t want Saliba YET, as he knew he’d not yet be anywhere near good...

If the board wanted him out then he would’ve been gone. That’s the way it works. There is no way Levy would keep a manager after two 8th place finishes in a row…. No way!

Sorry but I don’t believe that. It would’ve got out. Also if they had really wanted Arteta out then they would’ve got rid of him and then appointed somebody afterwards

The only one that Paratici has got badly wrong. I'd be more tempted to let him go to Spain on a free transfer but with a 50% sell on fee, as there is a bit of a chance that he does OK back in the far less physical Spanish league and gets a reasonable sized transfer in a few years' time.

*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Nottingham Forest FC ***

This is where things are so inconsistent. Romero also got a lot of the ball. Either a follow through is dangerous or it isn’t. My thoughts are that when you are attempting to kick the ball hard your follow through will always end up knee high. Any player who strikes the ball halfway up or...

    Spurs new investment

If we'd not moved Kane on then I don't think we could've (would've?) signed VDV or Johnson.

    The transfer thread

I could be wrong but I seem to recall Ange mentioning Simon Davies in this respect?

Our debt and borrowings have increased since post covid as well. I've seen numerous companies go to the wall due to having (seemingly safe) long term borrowing only to get caught out when refinancing. It is difficult to tell what the long dated bonds are costing in interest versus the shorter...

SONIA + 1.75% works out at a rate of about 7% interest now. Just two years ago it would've worked out at under 2%. These are the sorts of differences that I am talking about in the interest rate environment now and why I think the club will absolutely be looking to try to pay off the capital...

I'm not panicking at all. I'm merely stating that we are carrying a high level of debt and won't be able to roll it forward without the interest costs increasing so need to start thinking about how we go about reducing that debt (that has been increasing instead of reducing over the past few...
