RDZ confirms VdV and Bentancur had a heavy workload, so we are being cautious with them. Said Senesi is a first team player just like VdV and JPVH. Said we have a strong squad with players able to slot in seamlessly. Did not mention anyone else.

There must be some masterplan by RDZ. Will we sit really deep and play on the break... will we use Bergvall and Gallagher to press really high up... what is the cunning masterplan here, as it looks like a bad selection right now.

Football is weird. Brentford scored a good early goal for 1-0, then 1 minute later Villa got a massive deflection to equalise 1-1. Then an hour later on that boz-eyed Haggis scores for Villa via another massive deflection, so Villa are set to get their first home win but 1 minute later 7 foot...

I keep looking at that midfield 3 of Tonali with Bergvall and Gallagher. The main thing I would do if I was making a team to face MNU is to put a man on Ratty Fernandes, as he is the key to nearly all of their success. But we've just got Tonali to try to hold the midfield together, with...

EDIT Just realised it says Bergvall, not Bentancur. Very bizarre

    25/26 Injury and illness thread

Is this the current “injury” thread or is there a 26/27 one? Please move this if I am in the wrong thread. I was just thinking that Spurs this season have deliberately been cautious about redlines/ players over-playing/ injury prevention. Does anyone have a list of players’ minutes during this...

Started really well Forced Suzuki into some really good reaction saves from clean strikes. Almost too clean, rather than bouncing in off Mings. Particularly from Savio and Gray, good strikes. In control, wary of Jackson on the break but forcing lots of corners and good situations. Bentancur has...

Guys n gals. Cheatski have lost to Arse, drew with Hull, got thumped 2-0 by Brentford. Oops now it is 3-0, thumped just like we were on day 1. They sit 7th with 7 points from 5 games. Catchable. Almost every team has its struggles this year. Spurs will be fine, get behind the team and stop...

Tonali is back fit. I agree Bentancur and Tonali are both VERY safe. So we can sub the tiring one that started, on the hour, with the other. Alongside that safe guy, we can have the more expressive e.g. Fernandes, who can be subbed when he tires with Bergvall, or vice versa. And in the 10 we...

We are a really good side. We just need Maddison to feed one of the forwards, and for them to actually kick the ball thing in the net thing. It really isn't as difficult as they pretend, just one pass through and blat it into the net, piece of tinkle. They do it with ease all week in training...

    Savio

Not disagreeing, just thinking aloud. RDZ has 2 types of wide forwards e.g. Marmoush nominally on the left was coming inside the pitch to play as a second striker, allowing Robertson space down the flank. This gives their right full back a big problem of who to track. Whereas Savio on the right...

    Richarlison

Good point! In my head we had to name the Prem squad before the Prem started, but of course that makes too much sense. I guess Richie was our only fit striker with Solanke hobbling and Marmoush/Savio not around etc??? I can't remember that far back man! I presume RDZ realises Richie is very...

    Roberto De Zerbi *OFFICIAL*

For me De Zerbi does really well to answer the clickbait questions he is fed. His English isn't great, imagine doing a press conference in Italian yourself, imagine you are the coach of Roma and they are firing questions at you. When put under pressure of answering a question he has to say...
