A radio station over here in Oz have just released their top 100 songs of the past 20 years, and some of the top 10 made me guffaw a bit. Here's the list: http://www.abc.net.au/triplej/hottest100/alltime/20years/

So what's yours?

Mine (no particular order and subject to change...)

Mad Season - River of Deceit
Jeff Buckley - Last Goodbye
Machine Head - Davidian
Chemical Brothers - Hey Boy, Hey Girl

Great thread! I'm going to have to mull over this with a couple bottles of red and my record collection. Does Heart Shaped Box make the cut by the way? Can't remember when in 93 it was released?

Massive props on the Machine fudgein' Head mention dude!

To me Davidian feels a bit laboured, but haven't listened to it that much.

That particular Chemical Brothers song: Vomit inducing.

Probably won't remember half the songs I've heard, but will give my CD collection a glance.

All mine wouldn't be part of this millennium

I will do two top 10's.... Dance and other stuff.

Guns N' Roses - There Was A Time

Porcupine Tree - Anesthetize

Iron Maiden - The Nomad

Helloween - Heaven Tells No Lies

Within Temptation - Jane Doe

Guns N' Roses - Prostitute

Edenbridge - MyEarthDream

Kula Shaker - Song of Love/Narayana

Korn - Here To Stay

Bumblefoot - Dash

Based on the amount of times they've been played on my computer, but all of them have albums worth of songs that could be on here.

Dead Prez - Hip Hop
Fugees - Fugee La
The Roots - The Seed 2.0

Claude Von Stroke - Who's Afraid of Detroit?
Ame - Rej
Metro Area - Miura

Queens of The Stone Age - No One Knows
Mars Volta - Take the Veil Cepin Taxt
The White Stripes - Black Math

Mojo - Lady

ask me next week and it'll be completely different :p

How the fck did Gotye get 2 out of the top 14??

I'll add my list later and will try and restrict it to one song, at most, by any band on my list.

Never heard of.

Their list is an obvious reflection of their music profile though and not so much about quality.

Would Silverchair be on there if they weren't Australian?

Always going to be skewed to nationality. Powderfinger would have been played on Australian radio stations as often as international acts. For people around my age (25), Powderfinger would be 'the' Aussie band...even if they don't like them. I love them.
