The only wild card possibility imo is Zaha. It also might be a good idea to take another energetic 'runner' in the cm position like Henderson/Cleverly in place of a striker or maybe Milner (who is valuable as he can play on either wing or in the middle).

Smalling instead of Terry and someone, maybe Cleverley, instead of Chamberlain. Roy will want lots of cover in CM.

Wheelchair will be in there somewhere as well unfortunately.

I definitely wouldn't take the racist - would be terrible for morale.

My wildcard would be Rodwell. I just think we need a combatative midfielder and don't see any else around

I'm sure we'll see the usual dross like Milner, Wiltshire and Henderson though.

TBH I forgot about Wheelchair and would take him....probably in place of Milner. I would take Wellbeck too in place of Carroll.

Re: England 23 man World cup squad

So everyone would take Lallana? i don't think he did enough in both friendlies he played in tbh.

Re: England 23 man World cup squad

He's done a lot more for club and country than Walcott when he was picked by Sven.

I think it's just optimism and lack of alternatives. Hopefully he continues to improve throughout the season and gets more chances to adapt to England, as there is no one obvious being denied an opportunity.

Not far off KD's selection when I look back over it…personally, I'd take one less FB on the basis that Jones 'could' cover in an emergency, ditto Smalling, I'd take Milner as he has quiet experience and is one of those players who can instantly get into a game from the bench, and I'd take Ravel Morrison because I genuinely think the boy has tremendous talent and could prove to be a massive surprise for us. I'd leave Carrick at home. Tough as Lampard is older and less mobile, but the one thing Lampard has over him is he scores goals. TBH I'd be happy with either, but given the likes of Morrison, Barkley and Andros are there, having Gerrard and Lampard might be smart.
