Victimpool FC - Klopp leaving, grown men crying

So a Champions League final is not worthy a mention?
That. And a very different net spend, plus consecutive top four finishes for Klopp. Maybe Mourinho can manage that too, if he doesn't get sacked.

Liverpool fans are absolutely delighted with Klopp. United fans are ambivalent at best with Mourinho.

They worshiped Brendan in July, and couldn't get him out the door quick enough in October..

Klopp needs a trophy this year more than anyone else.
He's been at Liverpool longer than Jose has been at man u, he started with a better team, spent almost as much money and yet Jose has won major trophies.

I was just listing what they had won and their highest PL finishes.
Yes, in response to a conversation about a much wider topic you choose to focus on a small number of facts ignoring others. Coincidentally the one's pointing towards milo being right in his statement.

I think I find myself talking mostly with a more sensible breed of Liverpool fans than those you're talking about. I agree that fan satisfaction has a short lifespan. Liverpool fans are satisfied after a longer period than Mourinho usually even stays at a club though.

They have a similar spend, but a distinctly dissimilar net spend. If anything dealing so well with losing their best player in Coutinho counts as a good achievement by Klopp, even though it allowed him to spend a lot of money. We know success in that situation is far from a given.

I don't think the pressure on Klopp to win a trophy is that great. If he keeps them moving in the right direction he'll be fine.

Mourinho is a good example that winning a "lesser" trophy really only keeps fans and owners happy for a month.

No, I think you’ll find I just listed out the trophies won and highest league finish by each manager in response to milo saying compare the two!!!

Look, I’m sorry guys if it didn’t show what you wanted it to, but don’t shoot the messenger!

This is clearly going in circles. If you think milo was only talking about trophies and highest league position when he said compare the two then fair enough. I think it's clear he was taking about more. If you've seen no facts that lead to you understanding why he said what he did, fair enough.

Let's just agree to disagree. Perhaps at the end of the season it will be obvious that Mourinho had United on a better trajectory than Klopp had Liverpool after all.

I used it as a measurement, it’s not my only thoughts on the subject but I thought it was a valid starting point for a comparison that was requested, you don’t, that’s fine. I’m really not that bothered, I hate both managers, but would prefer Klopp in charge of us, as sick as that makes me feel.

I don't know any United fans who are happy with Mourinho and i don't know any Liverpool fans who are unhappy with Klopp. Most United fans I know wish that their side played football like Liverpool rather than having to endure what Mourinho serves up.

I know one Utd fan who actually goes and he backs him. Also, you always hear his name chanted at games.

That’s not to say he’s more loved at his club than Klopp, but I don’t think the narrative that his own fans don’t want him is strictly correct.

I'm popular but I don't know all United fans :p

I’d be interesting in comparing what they have won, as well as their respective premier league finishes, if anyone knows where that sort of data could be accessed?

So a Champions League final is not worthy a mention?
Rather win the Europa League trophy than lose the Champions league Final. No one remembers second place. Of course if we are counting 2nd places then Jose has finished 2nd in the PL whilst I think Liverpool's best finish is 3rd.
