It didn't help that Hillary was the Democratic nominee. She had way too many negatives that a lot of people picked Drumpf as the lesser of two evils. Had Bernie gotten the nomination (whose supporters also are to be blamed for Hillary's loss), or had Biden run, they wouldn't have lost Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin by a combined 70K votes. Let's also not forget the system in the US, which is FUBAR. Since 1992 Republicans have won the popular vote once. ONCE! Yet they have elected two presidents.

He is not smart but he is vindictive. He's been banging on about postal voting for a few weeks now so this Amazon thing is just one step further. A twofer. Or maybe it is people thinking the worst, who knows?
Widespread postal voting is a death knell for Trump and the GOP, that much is undisputed, so defunding the postal service is a fairly obvious move even for Trump. And he still has a supporting cast of miscreants dropping ideas into his empty head. They all have their own agenda and need to be in power to enact it. Trump is the means to an end for them. A willing vessel into which they can pour their malice.
Anyway, there's no way Congress will let the postal service fail.
