    Ottawa, actually.
One thing to consider when thinking about our transfer activity this summer - I believe the Premier League's Short Term Cost Control (STCC) regulations allow clubs to raise their wage bill by a maximum of either 7m a season (the flat amount), or by 7m + all increases in revenue the previous year.

Our revenue is going to go through the roof this year, once the 100m from the CL run is factored in.

In other words, if we want to increase our wages, this summer is the time to do it. In future, our revenue will not grow as much as it did this year (barring some large naming rights deals and such) in relative terms, which will make wage increases difficult to manage.

If Toby goes I'd like us to get Maguire, apart from being a good defender he's also dangerous at set-pieces, good on the ball and obviously home grown.

I think that Leicester would want van Dijk level fees for Maguire. That'd be our budget blown on one player.

Think we have more than £75m to spend this summer. I think we will spend in excess of £150m. Seems strange to be spending that much but with Eriksen & Alderweireld potentially exiting the club, that would give us £125m+ to reinvest in addition to any sale of other squad players, and any budget that we start with. Whether Maguire is worth £75m is another matter.

We could also ge de light for about that with probably less in wages.
If he wants to come here. PL players and English players are over priced.

We'll need to sign a RB, CM and someone in attacking positions - I really dont see how we'll have the cash available to sign someone in the £70m-ish price bracket which Maguire, Zaha or de Ligt would go for. I think all of those are out for that one reason

I can see us signing one player in the sort of £50m area, most liklye Ndombele, and then a couple others in the £30m-ish range (Sessegnon, Gomes, a RB etc) and then perhaps someone on the cheap. Or if we're extremely lucky and get Levy on a good day, Ndombele and then 3 others in the £30m-ish bracket

    I could get behind that.

I think it's vital we add to midfield so that's why someone like Ndombele is a priority for me, then we see what happens with Eriksen and Alderweireld. If both or one of them leave us then it's imperative that they are replaced, as at present I don't trust Sanchez or Foyth to step up and be solid enough over a whole season and it goes without saying that losing Eriksen would put a major dent in our attacking play.

Sanchez stepped up and did ok last season. I think that they are both being groomed as Vert's and Alderweireld's successors. If Alderweireld leaves this summer, I would expect them to move up a place in the pecking order and we sign a new kid to develop.

Ok last season, fairly poor this season, it doesn't leave me feeling confident. Sanchez has all the tools to become a great defender, it's just I don't think he's ready yet as there are aspects to his game that need fixing still. As rotation like he has been this season is fine however.

There is also a base year of 2013 (I think) so we can increase wages compared to then whenever we raise them

We're playing a long term game. Short term signings make no sense for a club like Spurs, it is a game we cannot win when we look at others budgets.

working on the assumption that we have a war chest of £150m and that Toby, Eriksen, Trips and Wanyama all go this summer generating another £150m, my wish list would look something like

    de Ligt £70m
    Ndombele £50m
    Sessegnon £30m
    Wan-Bissaka £50m
    van de Beek £30m
and someone similar to Ziyech for about £30-50m
and the last £20 - 40m on youth

It's probably too many changes and totally unrealistic but it would give us a young group of pacey skillful footballers that would only need tweaking over the next few seasons

I think that people are going to end up being very disappointed if they are anticipating a £300m splurge.

Everton manager Marco Silva says he is unsure whether the club can win the battle to sign on-loan Portuguese midfielder Andre Gomes, 25, this summer. (Liverpool Echo)

Zinedine Zidane says Gareth Bale's future at Real Madrid is "very clear" after the Wales forward, 29, was left out of the squad again. (AS)

    ZIDANE ON BALE

Zinedine Zidane has cast further doubt on Gareth Bale's future after he left the Welshman out of Real Madrid's squad for their defeat at Real Sociedad.

It would appear unlikely that Bale will feature in the season finale against Real Betis, with Zidane saying it's 'very clear what he's done' and to 'see what happens next year'

"It's very clear what I've done this weekend. Next week we see what I do, and also what happens next year. That's it!" Zidane said.

Premier League clubs will certainly be keeping a close eye on the latest.

    DECLAN RICE'S FUTURE UNCLEAR

Manuel Pellegrini admitted that he does not know whether young midfielder Declan Rice will remain at West Ham this summer.

Pellegrini made it clear that the Hammers are desperate to keep Rice, but interest from 'all the big clubs' means he cannot say for certain that he'll remain in east London next year.

"It is impossible to say. I cannot know the future," Pellegrini said following West Ham's win over Watford.

"He is a player that has had a brilliant season, is 20 years old, English under 20 so he has a lot of quality, age, nationality. All of the big teams will want him. That is one thing and this other if he will stay or if he will go I cannot say in this moment."

"All of the big teams will want him. That is one thing, and this other [thing], if he will stay or if he will go, I cannot say in this moment."

    SILVA: GOMES TALKS HAVE BEGUN

Everton boss Marco Silva has made no secret of his desire to make Andre Gomes' loan move from Barcelona permanent amid interest from Spurs in the midfielder.

Silva said that he 'doesn't know all the details' but believes Everton have already started discussions with Barca over a transfer.

He is also keen to keep Chelsea loanee Kurt Zouma at Goodison Park next season, although the Blues' transfer ban may make that difficult.

"Andre’s future we keep open, and not just Andre but Zouma also," Silva said. "But you asked me about Andre. His future is open and it is up to us the best we can do to sign him.

"I don’t know all the details but I think we already started to do something."

FIFA have deemed that the summer transfer window must be open for at least 12 weeks, and with the Premier League deciding to close the window before the first game of the season, the window will open at midnight BST on Thursday May 16th, and close at 5pm BST on Thursday August 8th with the first game of the 2019-20 season to be played the next day.

Only domestic transfers will be possible though until June 9th when FIFA’s international window opens with the Transfer Matching System active. Additionally, since most contracts expire on June 30th, many deals will not be made official until July 1st or later.

No players can be loaned after the August 8th deadline, and only free agents can be added to the squads after that. Players can still be sold to foreign clubs after the Premier League deadline, until their respective deadlines - France: 11th June – 31st August, Germany: 1st July – 31st August, Italy: 1st July – 18th August and Spain: 2nd July – 31st August.

The Championship has decided to match the Premier League’s deadline date for transfers, but can still loan players until August 31st, while clubs in Leagues One and Two can continue to trade players until August 31st.

I'm more looking at positions we need to upgrade on, assuming Alderweireld goes then we will need:

    1 x CB
    1 x RB
1 x central midfielder who can play box to box
1 x Attacking midfielder who can ideally play centrally or out wide

They all need to be first 18 standard or players who will be of that standard by Christmas which is a lot to ask in one window, lets hope we have things lined up ahead of time.

Home grown thing will be less of an issue this summer compared to last, assuming players who are expected to leave do leave it means that we can get quite a few non-homegrown players in replacement.

Ideally a HG 2nd choice keeper for me, Butland?

Dreaming a little now won't leave me disappointed later, I know who we are and what our resources are, but I do think we are going to lose Eriksen this year and if you add that fee into the kitty that most posters tend to agree we have gives us a significant transfer kitty that could end up being in the high 200's

If I remove the Toby and Eriksen money we end up with
    Ndombele £50m
    Sessegnon £30m
    Wan-Bissaka £50m
    and the change on youth
