Transfer Tittle-Tattle

Yes, I'm told Tierney is brilliant... I know nothing about him really though.

However Lewis Dunk is Mr Average. Very average. Good at last man defending.

Tough to say on Tierney, looking good in the Scottish league playing for Celtic is one thing, He’s been pretty underwhelming for Scotland though. Could be the next Robertson or equally Alan Hutton.

Tiernay IMO would be a great signing for anyone as he has so much scope to improve with better and is already better than most in the prem

Dunk and Tierney? It says a lot about the level they are at nowadays. Spent all their money in the last 18 months and still paying their squad ridiculous wages every week.

Sounds like the perfect player for us then? We need full backs.

Tottenham Hotspur’s interest in Joachim Andersen has been well reported this summer. With the future of Toby Alderweireld seemingly in doubt, Spurs have been linked with a move for the Danish international.

The player himself recently informed the media in Denmark that he was ready for a new challenge away from Italian club Sampdoria.

Tottenham fans, however, are often skeptical of any transfer interest. Daniel Levy often lets the supporters down when it comes to negotiating deals. Many will simply feel Tottenham are not likely to win a bidding war for the player.

However, according to local media in Italy, that is currently the case.

ANSA are reporting on the interest in Andersen this summer. The report is based in the Liguria region, where Genoa-based Sampdoria play.

They suggest that Sampdoria’s €35 million (£31.2 million) asking price is a firm one. They also state that despite interest from Roma, AC Milan and Lyon, only Tottenham Hotspur have indicated that they would be willing to pay that fee.

It would be a welcome change for Tottenham fans if they actually did outbid rival clubs for a player of Andersen’s potential.

However, not many Tottenham fans will believe much until something official emerges regarding the interest.

But if Tottenham are leading the bidding war, it would be a happy change of tact for fans.

Report: Tottenham flop Vincent Janssen wanted by Anderlecht

Tottenham Hotspur striker Vincent Janssen could reportedly end up linking up with Vincent Kompany this summer.

According to a report from Belgian outlet HLN, Anderlecht are interested in Spurs striker Vincent Janssen this summer as they prepare for their first campaign under new player-manager Vincent Kompany.

It would be no surprise if Janssen does end up leaving Tottenham Hotspur Stadium during the coming months. ITV reported when the Dutchman arrived in the Premier League that he cost £17 million, and he now looks set to go down as one of the club's most underwhelming signings in recent years.

The 25-year-old scored two Premier League goals during his first campaign with Mauricio Pochettino's side and has only made a handful of appearances in the two seasons since.

Despite his struggles, HLN is now reporting that Anderlecht have their eye on the former AZ star as they look to bounce back from a disappointing Championship play-off campaign which saw the club finish outside of the European places.

Spurs won't miss Janssen
While it is impossible to completely write a player off while they remain on a club's books, it does seem that there is next to no way back for Janssen at Spurs unless Pochettino stunned everyone and left and a new manager decided to take a gamble on the Dutchman.

He has not made the impact that Spurs have needed when he has been given a chance. So if Tottenham get the opportunity to recoup some of the money that they paid for the striker this summer, they should have no hesitation in letting him pursue a new challenge.

Real Madrid will demand €50m for playmaker Dani Ceballos this summer with Tottenham among the clubs monitoring the situation closely, according to AS. The 22-year-old has been one of the stars of the U21 European Championships, scoring two goals and registering two assists apiece in Spain’s opening three matches of the tournament. Despite Ceballos’ sparkling form on the international stage, though, he is expected to leave Real Madrid during the current transfer window as the club look to balance the books. Real Madrid have already splashed out around €300m on Eden Hazard, Luka Jovic, Rodrygo, Ferland Mendy and Eder Militao since the end of last season. Although Ceballos is rated highly by Real’s president Florentino Perez, he does not appear to have convinced Zinedine Zidane of his merits during either of the Frenchman’s spells in charge.

Ceballos started just two of the club’s final 11 fixtures of the campaign following Zidane’s re-appointment and he would be happy to offload the former Real Betis man. According to the report, signing Ceballos is a priority for Mauricio Pochettino and the Champions League finalists have already held preliminary talks with him over a potential switch. Arsenal are also reportedly monitoring Ceballos while Paolo Maldini, who has recently been appointed AC Milan’s Technical Director, has identified him as a primary target.

Real Madrid had been strongly linked with a move for Spurs’ playmaker Christian Eriksen although their interest is said to have cooled with Zidane prioritising a pursuit for Paul Pogba instead. Eriksen had expressed a desire to leave Spurs in order to ‘try something new’ and Ceballos, along with Real Betis’ Giovani Lo Celso, has been identified as a potential replacement for the Dane. Ceballos joined Real from Betis in 2017 for a reported fee of €18m but he has struggled for first-team football at the Bernabeu, making 56 appearances across two seasons.
