Agreed, never easy to secure top level targets. We need to try our best though, if he's the man Conte wants.

Who actually tops Conte's list of priorities is up for speculation though. Not just for CB, but in general for the entire team.

For Eriksen; his contract expires in the summer, he has it appears strong liking for our club and there are players here still from his playing days here. We are likely to qualify for the CL barring a slip up that not even we should be capable of having. Eriksen has been successful in his brief time back in the Premier League with Brentford and unless he wishes to extend his time with Brentford in a way to repay the chance that was taken on him then we would be the natural fit for him. Eriksen is liked by Conte and it’s a Levy friendly deal with no transfer fee albeit wages and signing on fee might be slightly elevated it would be an affordable deal to get supporters onside. We need creativity and that’s something Eriksen offers.

For Bastoni:
He plays at Inter and has played under Conte
He’s a left sided centre back and it’s apparent we are looking to upgrade that position
He’s young and so has good future whether with us or to be sold for a higher price in future if the signing is a success
He’s been regularly linked and whilst that in itself doesn’t mean everything, there are a lot of other boxes ticked for why the deal would make a lot of sense at least from our side

Was just trying to clarify. All our signings will be a payment plan. Doubt any team pays upfront these days. £70m for those 2 which i think would slready be budgeted. Especially if golini goes back. Think we'd spend a bit more net. Although we might do the same thing, loan to buy.
 
Paratici, conte, levy and the scouts need to figure out now who we want/can bring in. Get it started. They should know the areas they want to strengthen. Lets go.

We can’t get carried away by how good some of the fringe players have been either
If we can sell Sanchez for half decent money and get a Freebie in who is as good we’re actually up
Every decent money signing should be one we think is a starter
