I agree, i have always thought he was under rated by some fans and i will always remember him playing a blinder against us in the LC final.

Watford’s Ben Foster and Fulham’s Marcus Bettinelli are interesting Spurs as they look to provide competition for Hugo Lloris. But it is Bournemouth’s Aaron Ramsdale that tops their list.

Everton recently had a £25m bid accepted for Southampton midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg. But the Dane’s preference is to move to north London, with Tottenham ‘increasingly confident’ they can get a deal done.

Spurs also have ‘big interest’ in Beijing Guoan centre-back Kim Min-jae, as they look to Jan Vertonghen in the squad.

Reports earlier in the week claimed that Spurs are playing hardball over their pursuit of Kim, having already had two bids rejected for the £15m-rated player.

Add in links to the likes of Norwich duo Max Aarons and Ben Godrfey, plus Villa star Tyrone Mings and Roma’s Nicolo Zaniolo. And Spurs could be in for a busy summer.

    He’s no James Ward-Prowse.

I think he's pretty good! I'm not sure he'll sell a bunch of shirts or get a testimonial, but he fills the massive hole at the base of our midfield — an area where we've basically gotten zero ball-winning since Victor's knees fell off. I'm wondering if he might be a bit like Scott Parker was for us. He wasn't the greatest, but he was a solid, dependable pro who seemed to give us a 7 out of 10 in just about every match. Considering how poor our central midfield has been at shielding the defense, winning tackles, shielding our back four, and tracking runners, even if Hojbjerg is only decent, it will make a huge difference.

Though it would be fun to splash out on someone like Ndidi, Zakaria, or (insert fashionable defensive midfielder), but assuming we don't have the money, PEH is a sensible, attainable, durable player that will solve a massive hole in our squad at a good age (24). Also, I think his range and energy will really unlock the creative midfielders around him (Ndombele, Lo Celso, Winks), while allowing Moussa to focus on that right side runner midfield role that he does well (like the Arsenal game).

If we can lock this transfer up and focus on finding a right back and a rotational striker, we'll have a much more balanced squad with a lot of interesting flexibility. Looks like we're circling PEH, Millik, Kim-Min Jae, and Aarons, which sounds like a decent little crop to fill in each of the holes in our squad even if they aren't everyone's first choices.

    4-3-3 (big games, counter attacking)

    ---------------Lloris--------------
    Aarons---Toby---Dier----Davies
    ---------------PEH----------------
    ----Ndombele------Lo Celso----
    Son----------Kane-----Bergwijn

    4-2-3-1 (against possession-heavy sides)

    ---------------Lloris--------------
    Aarons------Toby---Dier---Davies
    -------PEH-----Winks--------
    Son------Dele------Lo Celso
    ------------Kane----------

    4-2-3-1 (against defensive sides)

    ---------------Lloris--------------
    Aarons------Toby---Dier---Davies
    ------Winks----Ndombele---
    Son------Dele------Lo Celso
    ------------Kane----------

That Kane alternative could be massive (and I don’t mean physically)
Imagine having the option to drop Kane back to create more and chucking on another striker ... it’s the future

Just being able to rest him midweek would be massive. The compressed timetable of next season is going to cause a lot of injuries and we'll need to rotate carefully.

    I can.

I have seen them both side by side and I can confirm that they are in fact different people
