I think with the way players springboard out of S.Lisbon, Porto and Benfica it's probably worth the gamble. Plenty of players leave there in the £40-£60m range.

Plus if he really tears it up we can get him back on the cheap.

Yeah, seems a good deal for us, but not Sporting... maybe it was something more complex than what I suggested.

Sporting probably couldn't afford £10m so the 3 clubs did a deal. Sporting get him for £5m. We keep the 50% sell on.

He is a very good player
Not sur she could always the step up to where we want to be though
