I agree it’s not on the DOF
But I also don’t think he has done what people think he has
It’s why he isn’t at a bigger side IMO
    I maybe wrong

    The infrastructure, the relevance.

When ENIC took over there was no chance of us catching up to Arsenal and United, being CL regulars.

Shhhh.... it’s only Jose’s Spurs team that you can make excuses about losing to teams after you’ve played on Thursday and they haven’t.

I'm not even sure we would've had this kind of stadium if not for his team. Without regular CL the budget would probably be halved (even if the cost ballooned), perhaps more without commercial contract/branding in place. It's a sad state that getting 5 top 4's is probably more valuable than winning the double and be champions of Europe while missing CL the other years.

Sky talking about Kane is cringe.
    Keane clearly underestimates Levy

I had to check because i thought the year of no signings was the one previous but you're correct.

No signings in the summer or the winter Dembele sold in the winter
A team of players that had had no summer break due to playing all the way to the final and 3rd v 4th stage of the World Cup

And people have the brass neck to hold the tail off in the second half of that season against the manager?

    Wow

Edit : a second half of the season that saw us get to the CL final for the first time in our history and finish in the top 4...

    Wow

We've caught Arsenal due to their own incompetence and the rise of Chelsea as if not more so than anything Levy has done.

We caught them before they fell apart imo.

Redknapp was still in charge when we started going into those games as favourites.

I told them we already got one
Absolutely. It dulls the pain slightly. (If not the anger).

And organisation as well. Does that leave anything?

Pretty sure it was only a single manager who achieved that?.... the one you don’t seem to think did a good job?!?

Great artists need a structure to fully realize their talents. Even Van Gogh needed quality canvasses and paint.

Arsenal went from winning the league to challenging for 4th, that's when we crossed paths with them. That's nothing to do with Levy, that's their own incompetence.

If Arsenal hadn't declined then when we were fighting for 4th they would have still been at the top challenging for the league every other season.

I think he did a great job, for about 4 years.

Annoyed with this defeat but not really surprised. Really hate ManU and really hate losing to them ! Annoyingly, this is our biggest home defeat to ManU in 9 years ! After the way we beat them 6-1 away earlier in the season, it is hard to accept us losing tamely at home now. Mourinho has to take the large part of the blame for his team selections.

Really hate to see Sanchez or Dier in defence. Was happy to see Sanchez dropped but then he brings on Dier ! Why drop your best defender Alderweireld ? We should have started with Alderweireld and Rodon in defence. Lamela too should have started this match after his impact when we beat ManU 6-1 away. Instead he came on too late to make an impact this time.

I think we lost this match in midfield. For all the hard work by Hoejbjerg and Ndombele, this match showed we still lack the top quality defensive midfielder like Dembele to control the midfield. Not sure why Mourinho brought on Sissoko for Lo Celso despite him being in poor form all season.

It is really disappointing how this season has gone. We were flying high earlier in the season and even were top of the league for 4 weeks. But since beating Arsenal at home, we have lost to every big team we have faced and are now struggling badly. It looks almost impossible to finish in top 4 now with us being 6 points behind 4th place. With the League Cup final coming up, not sure how we are going to face ManCity with the poor form we are in now.

But we had to be up there to cross paths with them. We were a mid table team for the 5 years prior to ENIC taking over.

We have improved consistently, on and off the field, under their stewardship imo.

I'm not so sure it was the results alone that made Levy pull the trigger. I think it was more of what the Americans call "irreconcilable differences", there was obviously something wrong going on behind the scenes. First of all, it looked like he spooked the board with his statements about his future right before our most important game in a long time, maybe even in our history. And a fully winnable one at that. Secondly, there was obvious unrest within the group, which I think fans won't know about before someone spills the beans. Primarily Eriksen, but also Verthoby. Our most important players, Kane aside. I refuse to believe that Poch would have been sacked if there was any other way to lift the group back. I suspect that Mourinho was brought in not only for his perceived tactical astuteness, but also for his perceived ability to reshape and control a group who perhaps had grown a little too big for their shoes. Which he by all signs has failed to do.

I'd imagine those differences would center around the rebuild Pochettino warned of and Levy not wanting to pick up the tab.

Do you not think a better opening 12 games would have seen him keep his job?
