**Tottenham Hotspur Vs Wigan - Official OMT**

With tough games coming up, this was an important win. But we should have won this match more comfortably. At 3-0, I thought we would go on to win by 5 or 6 goals. Instead, we almost let them come back into the match by poor defending. They had many chances to score the 2nd goal. If they had done that, it would have been really tensed ending.

Good to see Bale continuing his goal run. If he can do this more consistently, he can be a great player for us. But the disappointing thing is VDV and Adebayor continuing their poor form. With Pavly going out, it seems we have to fully rely on Bale to score the goals for us.

Despite the win, really disappointed we failed to keep the clean sheet. Our goal difference is still too much behind ManCity and ManU. It is always a disadvantage to have inferior goal difference in the league. We need to increase our goal tally by keeping more clean sheets.

Hopefully, this win will boost our confidence for the upcoming touch matches against the big teams. With us just 5 points from the top, we need to continue winning to stay in the title race.

That's the Pav who has ONE goal this season?

Pav had 1 goal in 0 starts(5 subs).

Compared this to Adebayor (1 goal in the last 8 matches), VDV (1 goal in the last 13 matches) and Saha (1 goal in 18 matches/none in the last 13 matches). Only Defoe has been in better form lately.

How anyone can claim Saha is better than Pav is a mystery. He had 1 good season with ManU after leaving Fulham and has been shyte apart from that. His goal ratio must be worse than Crouch ! We might as well ask Clive Allen to come back and play !

The point is that we've never relied on Pav to score goals.

Not sure how you can claim that. We relied on him to score the goal against Sunderland and have done that many times before. Redknapp even wanted to bring him against ManCity before Bale scored. Pav's touches and workrate might be shyte, but when it comes to scoring goals, he is one of the best around. He rarely wastes a goal scoring chance.

His finishing was good, granted but getting in those goal-scoring positions often takes effort and he lacked that at times. That's the main gripe fans had with him.

Agree with you on the Saha part though - he's 3 years older with a bricker goal-scoring record. Hope he proves me wrong though, now that we're stuck with him.

It's not like we've relied on Pav's goals this far, so I don't see how him leaving changes things.
