For those who attended and watched: If we play like we did vs Swansea away at Old Trafford, would you be confident that we would win?

Will be a different game altogether.
You could see the body language changed altogether of the players after the first goal. Their first touch suddenly saw the likes of Alli, Eriksen and Son open up their body and turn towards goal. A lot more positive.

I feel like we have been pretty good in all our games v the bigger sides (perhaps bar Liverpool where we got lucky). City at home, Arsenal away, Chelsea away all saw us produce solid performances where we dominated most of the game or at least had control.

Don't upset @parklane1 !

Was Eriksen better today than he has been recently because:
1. We were playing a very poor Swansea team, who have leaked 9 goals in the last two games?
2. On the basis of today only is Eriksen now the second coming and Siggi a pub player?
3. Poch compared him with Siggi, as did we, which motivated him to buck up? If so, Exactly why we need someone like Siggi in our squad to put pressure on him.

Next when we play Manure, after CL, is Eriksen going to 'disappear', (including not duck out of challenges) or be consistent and be like today?

I hope he has turned his form, but that doth not make Siggi poor, Pele playing up front on his own in this Swansea team would struggle, even in his prime.

As good as Erikssen would have looked playing for that shower of a team....

Siggi = Big Fish Small Pond player. Proven over more than just one season.

We could do with more competition for Eriksen - Siggi in our current style/method is NOT it

Adrien Silva at Monaco, perhaps Tielemens at Anderlecht (though his form seems to have dipped), certainly someone who doesn't go missing when the going gets tough like Siggy often used to..
Do you think these guys would be happy to be second choice or rotated with Eriksen?
One of the strengths of Siggi is he is a team man and top pro.

Eriksen isn't the bravest of players but I can understand his reluctance to go for the header as the defender certainly had his foot high, we were 3 up and crusing and didn't need to pick up any more injuries. The ref also seemed to take a relaxed attitude to high tackles, failing to talk to either of the players who tried decapitating Walker and Eriksen.

This was a much needed win for us after losing our unbeaten record to Chelsea last week. It was great to get a big win for once ! This was our biggest win over Swansea since 1935. But we cannot get carried away as we are Swansea's jinx team as we always seems to beat them. We have beaten Swansea in every PL/Div1 match we have played against them at home. In fact, the last time we failed to beat Swansea in the league at home was in the Div2 match way back in 1930 ! Frankly, we had enough chances to score more than 10 goals ! Swansea were so poor that even Sissoko got himself an assist !

Credit to Kane, Son and Eriksen for the goals. But it was disappointing that we needed a soft penalty to score our first goal. Thought Alli looked for the penalty rather than the player fouling him. Kane took the penalty well but until that penalty, we didn't look like scoring a goal. Well done to Son for scoring the brilliant second goal and assisting the third goal for Kane. Eriksen was fortunate to score our fourth goal as he was intimidated by the Swansea defender. But it was a well-taken goal by Eriksen for our fifth. Wish we had scored 2 or 3 more goals to increase our goal difference. Maybe Janssen would have scored if he had played as well !

Well done to our midfield for outplaying Swansea completely. Wanyama and Dembele did their best to stop Swansea from making any attacks on our goal. Wanyama could have even scored a goal but wasted an open goal in the second goal. Too bad Dembele didn't get a chance to score himself. Apart from winning the penalty, thought Alli played well. Similiarly, Eriksen had a good game as he scored 2 goals and assisted 1 goal. But surely, the biggest story was our 30m man Sissoko assisting the goal for Eriksen for out 5th goal ! Frankly, it was a bit funny seeing Sissoko who was ineffective since joining us, bullying the Swansea defence to get himself an assist !

It was nice to see our defence keeping the clean sheet. Our defence had nothing much to do as Swansea had no shots on target. But still it was nice to keep the clean sheet. Was worried Sigurdsson might trouble our goal with his trademark freekicks. But for some reason, he was very poor. Lloris was a passenger the whole match apart from 1 or 2 moments when he made hard work of his clearances.

It is always sweet to get a big win over any teams. Let's hope this win will boost our confidence to go on a winning run in the coming matches.
