What i liked most, asides from the scoreline, is that if you compare the performance with our early European games last season we look much more like a team that knows what it's supposed to be doing - can't read too much i suppose due to the level of opposition but as i say comparing to last season is a good yard stick

Fantastic result for the team and AVB- we genuinely have a squad now where we can afford to change things around and it not impact the overall quality.
Gutted for harry k that it didn't go in but he did well. Hope AVB gives Andros a chance in the league- Lennon should be worried after that performance!

Nice to know we are taking the Europa League seriously again this year. It was great to get a big win and a clean sheet away from home. The big lead will come in handy in the second leg. Never thought we will get a comfortable win in this match, even if Tbilisi is a shyte team. It shows we didn't get complacent and had the right mentality to beat them.
Great to see our new players Soldado and Paulinho scoring. The way Paulinho scored with the header is encouraging as we rarely had players who can score headed goals like that. Nice to know Soldado has started to repay our 26m fee for him. You can't complain with Soldado's effort as he has 3 goals in 2 matches now. Hope he will continue his goal gun for a long time.
From match reports, it seems Townsend was our best player, scoring 1 and assisting 2 goals. And it was a great solo goal from him. He seems to be in good form now. Scoring that great freekick against South China seems to have boosted his confidence. Hope he gets more time to show his worth. Won't mind if he starts ahead of the inconsistent Lennon in the coming matches.
A big credit to our defence for keeping our second clean sheet in a row. It is a good habit to have at this stage of the season. Hope we will keep more sheets like this this season. Lloris seems to be very alert in goal now which is nice to see. But AVB needs to find the right combination in defence as we cannot be changing defence for every match.
It is always a plus point to have the winning mentality from the start of the season. Hope we will be going into each match with the confidence to win them all.

Forgot to mention about our new sponsor for Cup matches. How come no one mentioned about the fact the sponsor name is in RED ?? Thought there will be dozens of thread condemning the management for having the hated red colour in our shirt.:lol:
