This match proved that you should never put too much hope in Spurs, regardless of how good the team is. After the way Arsenal gifted us the 3rd place on a golden plate, thought the team would lift their game and win the match. But it was the same old Spurs, always masters at fecking up. Just can't see Arsenal giving us another chance for 3th place now.
We needed inspiration from somewhere but none of the players could give us that. Despite our domination, we hardly looked like scoring. Only Bale came close but both his attempts were direct the the goalie. Really disappointed with Bale. Unlike the Bolton match, Bale didn't seem like up for this match. He didn't even dive to try to win us a penalty ! In fact, out midfield were a big letdown. Was hoping Modric and VDV would have been boosted by their goals against Bolton but they couldn't even lift their game.
Really annoyed with Redknapp for not bringing on either Defoe or Saha to try to get that winning goal. Instead, it was the trademark Redknapp subtitution : when you are looking for a goal, bring on a defensive player ! Just don't understand Redknapp's mentality. Why do you need 4 strikers when you don't want to use 2 of them ?
Well, you can't blame Arsenal if we don't qualify for CL next season. Arsenal tried their best to help us finish in top 3. But we just don't want to accept their help. Now, we have to rely on miracles from Bayern Munich to help us get that CL ticket.
