That's just boards laid down as a base for the vehicles, so they can move around without digging down in the sand.

If you've spent quite a lot of money on building a retractable pitch, why not retract it when you want to move some vehicles around?

Work is probably ongoing within the southern under podium area to complete the grow lights etc. Also you would still need to protect the artificial surface under the pitch trays.

Makes sense. Perhaps the matting is the same as the stuff they'd use on the artificial surface anyway for concerts and the like.

Does safe standing actually increase the attendence or is it the same number of bods in the area (I presume allocated a space on the row?)

Same number of people apparently. No increase in capacity.

Everyone who bought a would-be safe standing seat will share it with another punter. Levy just hasn't told you yet.

Levy will charge twice as much for the privilege of standing!

Grow lights are stored under the north stand. The reason the pitch trays aren't retracted is because they are almost ready to lay the actual pitch, so the undersoil would need to be prepped again if the trays were separated. With no NFL game this year, there's no real need to separate and retract the pitch trays.

Same sort of thing yes. But for concerts at the new stadium the pitch will be split and retracted.

say the pitch needs 3 weeks for bedding in - why would you lay the pitch (first test game - 3 weeks) as it is you can drive your tracks and store your stuff without any worries of damaging the pitch.

I suppose they need a lot of space to roll out the pitch outdoors, so will lay the pitch last when most of the construction is done

Look let's be honest we know sweet fudge all about stadium construction ... So let's not pretend that we do or why things are being delayed etc and timescales.

You either have to just trust the club with whatever they say and wait ... or lump it.

Not entirely true. I played Sim City as a kid and Theme Hospital, Theme Park and lots of these construction games and it was fairly easy to build stuff, you just needed money. Having played these games I now know everything about construction so stick me in the middle of the stadium and I'd get it completed within a month. Levy has loads of money and has stolen it from us so it should be pretty easy to build with little or no delays.
