A trophy everyone will forget about a season later. I would take not winning a trophy but having moments like that Champions League semi final every other game, thats what football is about, that buzz, the adrenaline, the writing off of the team for them to come back and splat egg in your face.

Losing your whole squad and manager seems pretty bad to me. Especially for a club with £1bn debt.

This. Honestly, can anyone tell me off the top of their head who won the FA Cup in, say, 2006? Without thinking too much about it.
How about the Premier League though, in 1994/5? Or how about 2015/6? The underdog winners are remembered. Similar with the Champions' League, and we were so damn close to that!
Hypothetically speaking of course, sure we'd get relegated the season after, but I'd back Levy to get us back up pretty quickly. Hopefully with Poch at the helm and Captain Scarlett fulfilling his destiny!

How about PL title or CL? Think I’d prefer CL. Admittedly the league is arguably the harder achievement as it is over a long course of games, but there’s so much glamour from winning the CL and it would elevate the club without question.
